Hey guys. I'm working on an online game that you can play in your browser using just HTML5 -- no Flash or Java Applets... Here's just a quick test I did: Tell me what you think! The questions are pulled using AJAX from either a MySQL database or a flat text file. And of course, MASSIVE thank you to leimeisei for the graphics!!

This is my own game I'm programming myself, actually. Can't play it anywhere yet!

Will you be releasing the game eventually?
BTW: I think this is the 1,000th topic on the site. Congrats!

Yup! Games are meant to be created and then shared! I'll definitely release it in Fan Games if I get approved, and when I have fulfilled the 30 day requirement (btw, anyone know if that's waived for people who are offering to post their game as well?)
Sweet! WOOHO! 1,000th topic!

Straight from the Audition protocol:
'2. If you are a game creator, you will post brief examples of the work you intend to share, as well as any other additional information about your game developing skills that you would like to make known. Because some game creators come to the site specifically to share their games and not for discussion, a set post count is not required for game developers. However, posting on the boards is encouraged so that you can gain the trust of site members and make a name for yourself in the community.
3. If you’re just a fan who wants to play the games created by others, there is a slightly different protocol that you must follow. You must be an active member of the site for 30 days before you can post your audition thread... Also, fans who are not sharing their own creations will need to have a post count of at least 20 posts. These posts must be meaningful and contribute to the community, and not just be useless posts made to ring up a post count.'
It sounds like the 30-day period only applies to people who want to play the games. Since you are contributing, it appears you can post an Audition now. However, just to be safe, you may want to PM an Administrator, such as Regisfan, and tell them you just want to put a game up. If they give you the green light to post the Audition, then go ahead.

Hmm, okay. I'll work a bit more on the project, and then I'll audition. Thanks! I'm in no real hurry

Perhaps by the end of development, make it look more like a true host's screen. i know there's a video floating around YouTube that has a good in-depth look at it.

Taking the suggestion of making it more like the host screen, but you do have an option to hide it! Also using the other version of leimeisei's graphics (Btw, huge thank you to him for it!) Tell me what you guys think! I already have (almost) finished incorporating the music to it, using the authentic music cues from the UK album CD.

Looks good. The only thing you are missing is the indicator light. The light is a small, grey square that changes colour when an answer is given. If the answer given is right, it turns green. If it's wrong, the light turns red. This is essential for the host because it's the only way he'll know if the contestant is right or wrong. Remember, the host is not allowed to know the answer before hand.
Also, how did you get the UK cues CD? That's impossible to get.

I had a friend ripped them off the CD. Apparently he won it at a contest years ago when Millionaire was just starting (he lived in UK then), and gave them. I'm sure its already posted, but I can definitely upload them to the passworded section if i pass audition.
