Did anyone else notice someone goofed pretty hard for Noam's $100,000 question today? It's the first time I've ever seen an answer get locked in without the player saying "final" and being reverted a few seconds later. I'm more surprised it made it to air. I wonder if it happened on their big screen too and if it influenced his decision at all.
Edit: Video Added

I added a video to the original post. Nothing else to do while I wait on the other 2 videos for today to finish compiling, heh. I decided not to make it public so it's only available on this forum.

That's such an odd goof to leave in the final edit. I wonder if the graphics we see at home are automatically created based on the operation of the system in the studio, and that's why such an obvious mistake can't be easily corrected.

It seemed like the contestant saw it, he flat paused for a second and continued on. No guaranteeing though, but it seemed like he saw it, but ignored it.

I know for sure the big screen in the studio and the "host screen" is run on the same computer and the graphics (at least they used to be) are run separately.

They very well could be, but the two projections over the audience seem to be on the same feed system we have on TV, which is what has me wondering.

hastin, the question music, starting with season 9, has two layers. One layer (the heartbeat) is played live in studio, and the actual piano/violins etc. are then "glued in". However, the editors became quite lazy and don't put much attention to synchronising both tracks.

Ah, even the best shows have that sort of problem.

However, the editors became quite lazy and don't put much attention to synchronising both tracks. This actually happens more often than you'd think. I know that most casual viewers probably don't notice most of the time, but anyone who watches with some regularity most likely catches it immediately whenever it happens. Whoever is responsible for syncing the music tracks either needs to pay more attention on the job or get a better ear for music.

I actually kind of liked the way it sounded in that clip.
