Hold up, I thought the post count didn't apply to me as I am a game creator. -FM123 You are correct - the post count wouldn't apply to you however, if you have a low post count, we - as a community - do not know whether or not we can trust you so it is in your best interest to contribute to the conversations in a constructive way. In all reality, that rule should be extended, since all one has to do in regards to PowerPoint is create one really fancy slide (or not so fancy) and say they're a game creator. I know trust is still a deciding factor, but the game creator rule really should be extended to cover more bases.

In Lieu of extending the rule, I'll just put in a vote that we view each submission on a case-by-case basis. If it's a truly nice piece of software and we feel it'd be a good contribution, give em a pass. But as far as just saying "If you're a creator, you're in"... the graphics for the entire game are now too openly available and it'd be too easy to do as GSK said and just drag and drop a few images into a PPT, hit printscreen, and call it a day.

I agree with leimeisei. The goal isn't to make the Fan Games section so hard to get into that the audition process discourages anyone from even trying. Everyone is at a different skill level when it comes to making fan games. We're not here to select which games are worthy or not worthy of being shared, we're here simply to keep those who aren't trustworthy from accessing the creations of those who are. I think the best way to do that is by reviewing each audition on a case-by-case basis, instead of extending the wait time even further.
