It's now been over 2 years since Ken Basin went for the $1,000,000 question and got it wrong. It's a moment in Who Wants to be a Millionaire history that no one will ever forget. I even saw on the spoilers post on the Millionaire 10th Anniversary board, but this post talks completely about this tragedy.
Have any opinions about this tragedy? post here.

Tragedy? I think not.

Oh, we certainly won't forget it. No thoughts, although I don't like the fact that people hated on him. I respect him. He's smart, yes... a little cocky. But so was John Carpenter. I don't hate him, I'm glad he took the risk to win the Million, which we desperately needed then. I don't like him missing the question though.

It's terrific that he was willing to pull the trigger. He's the kind of contestant the show needs. Is it a bummer that he lost? Of course. I wouldn't call it a tragedy though.
When I think of tragedies, I think of people dying. Words have meanings, and all that jazz.

You maybe right kplewisvox, what can we call this moment other than a tragedy?
As for you MillionaireFan28, Ken Basin going for it, just got people thinking, is he going to win the Million? Then, all of a sudden once we all find out that's he's wrong, everyone is in just total shock, even me, I was like, OMG is this really happening?

You maybe right kplewisvox, what can we call this moment other than a tragedy? Like I said, a bummer. A disappointment even.

Such a tragic moment just like The Undertaker's Streak broken by Brock Lesnar.

Such a tragic moment just like The Undertaker's Streak broken by Brock Lesnar. Why?! You were warned and asked to read the forum rules, yet this post clearly implies you have not. Also considering there was a warning at the top of the thread about replying to a dead thread, what part of you thought "oh this is a good idea"?! I just can't even. Edit: At this point, I'm just gonna operate under the impression that you're desperately trying to be banned.

Such a tragic moment just like The Undertaker's Streak broken by Brock Lesnar. Your warning level has been raised to 50%. You better go back in and edit that little blurb below your avatar to say you're only 50% away from a permaban.

Just ban him already.

8 posts and yet gotten a 50% warning percentage, even I think, me having a 75% warning percentage, doing this would be a bad idea, heck, even a regrettable idea, why even do it?
If the orange inactive 45-days thread bump warning isn't suggestive enough to warn you that you shouldn't do it, who else would do it?
Yeah, nobody else would do it, but this person had a bright idea to bump a 7 year old thread.
But yet he crowned his title as this forum new rule-breaker.
*facepalms*
This is why you shouldn't even bump a dead thread if you don't have relevant and new information about the relating thread, but yet you did with horrific result from everyone judging you, but why? WHY THOUGH?
