As of today (11-5-2011), I can officially say I am disappointed in this new game. As aleckrohto said, you do have to earn the Ask the Audience lifeline in Round 2, and the money tree is from $100 - $10,000, not $25,000. The sound cues are not used properly, either. For anyone who has played the Facebook game, this game is almost exactly like the original Facebook game, before they shortened the amount of questions in Round 1. Also, the graphics in the game resemble last season, with all of the information on the right side of the screen (which is understandable, since this was probably being created before the new season graphics were introduced). I love Xbox Kinect, but it is simply annoying to the extreme in this game. I like the voice recognition abilities, but I hate having to stand in front of my kinect sensor the entire game. Also, when I wanted to only use voice recognition, I had to keep my hands behind my back, so the sensor would not detect them. All in all, it is still Millionaire, and it is still addicting, as always, and had some pretty amazing graphics, expecially the studio, which looked remarkably like the real one. If anyone has any quesions about the game, I'll be happy to answer them.

Out of all of that, the only thing I understand is the old graphics, because I assume they started making this game before the new season. But the sounds, money tree, and ATA placement is all screwed up. If they're going to make a Millionaire game, make it right...

Here is a gameplay video:
Looks about as accurate as all of Ludia's other games, unfortunately. Also, they really should get a better voice actor for the host.

Oh man, it's worse than I thought, you don't get a dramatic pause and a good reveal of the money... they just tell you. No sound cue when the money's revealed... come on.

What is this? $10,000 is the top amount in Round 1, some of the dollar amounts don't even exist in the real game ($9,000?), and no Ask the Audience in Round 1? Wow..............
Considering this is supposed to be an updated game, the 2011 version, to me, seems more accurate in terms of rules, music cues, and other small details. I think they understood the clock format better than the shuffle format.

Tell me about it...I think it's time someone other than Ludia make the Millionaire games. I think some members of our community can make a game which is much better than this one. About the voice actor: totally true.

I don't just think that our members can do better, I know they could. This game fails on so many levels.
At least last year's game was decently close to the presentation of the actual show. This year's game really misses the mark by quite a wide margin. While I think the voice command feature is neat, it doesn't make up for the extremely sloppy presentation and inaccurate game play.

Honestly, I think that all of the Ludia games are not great. (Not counting the Facebook games and TPiR 2010 DS ) The first Millionaire game was sorta okay, but the only good thing about this game is that we can use our XBox avatars (or Mii's, as FF 2012 and TPiR Decades do) instead of those avatars as in the previous Ludia games!

Ironically, I think that Ludia's DS development teams might be better than their console teams. Millionaire on the DS, while definitely not perfect or even as good as the GBC game from years ago, was in some ways more polished than its console counterpart. It even used a brief CGI cutscene of the lights going down that wasn't present in the Wii or PC versions.

I wonder when Ludia would make 3DS games, and will they be good too?

Who knows when they plan to do that but ludia has never failed to blow people away with their hard work. I'll have to disagree with you there on account of the following games: The $1,000,000 Pyramid, Hollywood Squares, The Price is Right (Original), Press Your Luck, and most recently the 2011 Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
