Looks really great. Good work on this.
In my opinion, especially the work on the plexiglass platform and its underground, the lights and the purple background at the host entrance are amazing.
If I could change anything, I would modify the border on the top because it looks a bit too regular to me. Overall however, it is fantastic.
Furthermore, I would be interested in an explanation why you consider the 2004 set to be less original.

I sworn my 3d work on SketchUp, It is not as effective as Blender or 3DSmax but it is good for beginners.
