So I've been thinking about this lately, and I think it would actually be really cool to try out. With the way my anime version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire has been going, I'm really thinking about wanting to buy a couple of moving spotlights, to give it more of an authentic feel when comparing it to the actual show. I've been looking online, and I was honestly debating on buying a couple of light shows to see how they would play out if I actually ran a game with them. www.amazon.com/Chauvet-Intimidator-Lightweight-Intelligent-Spotlight/dp/B00FMIWUVC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416869344&sr=8-1&keywords=moving+spotlight&pebp=1416869524315I'm just wondering how exactly I could make this work, and whether or not it would be worth it in the end. Anyone know what they used on the actual show itself? And does anyone have any ideas of their own that could make it work?

I believe they used Louis Braile moving light system on the American version of WWTBAM (as is said in the end credits).

I just tried looking it up, got absolutely nothing unfortunately. I'm not really looking to go all out mainly because that would be EXPENSIVE, I'd probably just want a couple of lights that could move up and down, and also change color too.

When I was given a tour around the studio, I don't rememeber the brand that they use. I remember the lighting director showing me a large controller for the lights. I'm sure there are software programs that will run it for you. There was a puppet millionaire parody that used moving lights but it wasn't set up correctly, but it made it look cool.

I think lights really do make a 'mock show' feel much more realistic to the official versions environment. I would recommend having the house lights off to render the more authentic suspense feel, with the added bonus that it is easier to see the projector with!

What I've been doing at conventions that I go to is check to see how the lighting is inside the room I'm running my panel in. If you saw my most recent millionaire video that I posted, I had my friend actually dim the lights down after the $32,000 mark. While it was really exciting, if I had actual spotlights to go with it, it would make it even more exciting in my opinion.
