I definitely agree. I didn't want to see a dead thread warning when the project is really still going. The dead thread warning comes up automatically. Nobody has control of it. I think the record (for me) is 90 days before I posted up something. So that definitely will trigger a dead post warning. It goes away when someone posts something to it.

It goes away when someone posts something to it. The dead thread warning does come up automatically when it has been 45 days since the previous post. So retched is right, it will cause a dead thread warning when it was 90 days since the last post. I know everyone probably knew that already, I'm just throwing that out there.

NEW UPDATE: (Holy crap I hate forgetting to update this.) But I managed to sit down and make a few updates. Normally I'd ramble on about each of the changes, however... I decided to do something different.... Give everyone a Work In Progress build. I've been talking for the past few weeks that I needed help to gauge the speeds of everyone's machines as opposed to making a program and using the excuse "It runs well on my machine." (which is pretty IT/dev speak for ... you're on your own.) As opposed to that I'm releasing the software as a WIP build. Just to see if anyone else can catch something that I left out. With this, you will only receive the executable files. You WILL NOT receive the source coding whatsoever (that's for me). If you go through this and you notice things like a portion of the program is too slow to respond, you get error messages, please PLEASE help out and submit a write up for what I screwed up and I'll endeavor to chat with you in regards to exactly what should I do to fix it. EDIT: Cause it seems a few people just dived in, without reading this post. READ THIS ENTIRE POST IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE COMING TO ME VIA PMS OR REPLIES There are a couple of caveats: - Not all modules work. FF(F) Controller, Hotseat Controller*, the FFF Question Database are inoperable. This is by design, these will be added on at a later date.
- The print functionality may not work consistently. For some reason either my AV program is too sensitive or because IE sucks altogether, it may screw things up. If that is the case, do let me know what version of windows you're using.
- The sound effects are MUTED in the main controller. There is no ETA on when this will resolve... but hopefully it'll be soon. Sound isn't typically played through the Controller but rather through one of the two presenter screens. (read: by design you're supposed to plug your aux cable to the Unity screens as THAT will be playing the sounds.)
- Main Controller > Show Debug Console is not functioning that is a feature that will be in the first "generation".
Full documentation will be provided when EVERYTHING is done. It is a lot. This is not your typical sit-and-go presenter. I tried my best to be as concise as possible, but I failed in doing that.
Some changes that I am working on:
- Turning "New Game Form" into "New Game Wizard".
- FFF Controller, Hotseat Controller, the FFF Database will likely be included AFTER the initial 1.0 release. But it is possible I may come back to it before I go live.
- Support for saving and creating your own game formats. (I REALLY don't want to write thousands of lines of VB Net code to support all 103 actual live versions of the game. So instead, I included a few unique/favorite few... and then you can build from there.
- Main Menu > File > all options don't resolve to anything. (This is on the fence and may be removed before first going live.)
- Capping question length: Currently, I don't have an idea of if Unity will allow me to auto-resize a question on the screen based on how long the question is. So at some point, it may be possible for me
I'm sorry if you're disappointed overall with this... but again this is NOT the final version. Also, you may be wondering why am I referring to the programs as "Supermix" instead of "WWTBAM________". Generally, I do know that Sony is more relaxed when flexing their trademark and copyright muscles as opposed to say FremantleMedia/Ludia. However, I do not want to test Sony's patience. Therefore, the official name of this "game" will be "Supermix" and all WWTBAM references will be removed. Lifeline icons are bit hit or miss since all of mine are NOT exactly the same as the originals. However, I'd rather fall on that sword than the sword of the program altogether and ask forgiveness for later.
You can download the Alpha Build from Mega. Please do NOT break the trust and try to pass this off as you're own work. All I ask is that you ask civility with it.
If you would like to help with the process, please provide your overall experiences with the program here on this form or reply here. Thanks! You can also use this forms to bring things to my attention.
tl;dr: Work In Progress build available here, feedback form for suggestions/bugs/feature requests here.
I will provide limited support for this here. No fancy install program, just give unzip and run from your (Windows) computer.UPDATE - - [11:11 AM - 3/10/2018] Rolled back the .NET Requirement to 4.6 instead. So now Vista users should be able to use it if you updated to SP2. Do note, I can't hold this back forever... you're going to have to eventually upgrade.
- [11:34 AM - 3/10/2018] If you are given an error about "ACE OLEDB 12.0 is not registered on the local machine", there is a fix for this but I'm trying to nail it down. You might need to run one of the Office Redistributables for it to work. (If you don't have the 64-bit Microsoft Office installed on your machine, try the 32-bit version first. If you have the 64-bit Office installed, you MUST use the 64-bit version of this.)
- [12:32 AM - 3/15/2018] Working through bug reports now, I'll try to make a fix for the known issues (lifelines don't work and stop from progressing the game and ohters).

I would use the dedicated form but can't find a way to do it without using my personal email. One thing I have found is that if you're editing sounds, for some reason when you edit a different question and then come back to a previous one, the wrong answer cue is replaced with the lights down one. None of the other cues do this though.

When I tried to enter the Philippine peso symbol, it didn't appear in the currency because albeit in the Unicode, the ones available are the US dollars, British pounds, euros, and Japanese yen. I think adding other currency symbols would help, but other than that, there are no problems whatsoever regarding your project.

One thing I have found is that if you're editing sounds, for some reason when you edit a different question and then come back to a previous one, the wrong answer cue is replaced with the lights down one. None of the other cues do this though. Yeah I'll remove the email address from being required in a bit. That's a bit odd, probably something with the copy paste job I did. No worries I'll fix that in a bit. EDIT: Removed email address. It will ask for your RegisFan forum name or your email or Twitch handle.. I forgot to mention, was in a rush a bit, certain characters aren't going to be enabled because they're not in the base font of the Copperplate nor FHWA Series E. (It's also REALLY hard for me to make that available.) I may eventually just copy/paste them from other fonts so that they're supported but that's on the low priority list (since I know it's a LOT of currency symbols that I have to add in). For right now, these are the only characters allowed: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMONPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890!@#$%^&*()-=+_`~[]{};':"",.<>/?£¡¢£¤¥¦§¨©ª«¬®¯°´µ¶·¸¹º»¼½¾¿ÀÁÂÃÄÅÆÇÈÉÊÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕÖ×ØÙÚÛÜÝÔÕÖ×ØÙÚÛÜÝÞßàáâãäåæçèéêëìíîïðñòóôõö÷øùúûüýþÿŒœšŠŸŽžƒ^ˇ˘˙˚˛˜˝Ππ–—‘’‚"“"”„†‡•…‱‹›⁄€™Ωfifl∑−√∞∫≈≠≤≥ Anything not on these, it'll be rejected. Same applies for question and answer. Also another issue found: using any lifeline then trying to see if it's the correct answer, stops the program. It's something I overlooked and I'll definitely start to go through it in a few minutes to fix the rest.

I've downloaded the Office Redistributable thing you posted but I still receive the same error message as before. (The one posted in your edit) This may be a really silly and easy thing to fix, but I'm so bad at technical stuff when it comes to computers lol. This may be related to this, but I can't get the music to play, or the game to start. (Was going to use the form but still need to send my email with it apparently and I have no idea about my graphics card, sound card etc, sorry )

(Was going to use the form but still need to send my email with it apparently and I have no idea about my graphics card, sound card etc, sorry ) d**n it, I really have to find another database system then LOL. Do you have Microsoft Office installed? If so, do you have a 32-bit install or 64-bit install? I have to nail down how to fix that problem. (Hopefully it's an easy fix, I get it to work on mine but I shoe-horned in both version so I don't know if it'll work.) I know the Office 2010 Redistributables work on my local system. I might have to sit and try to fix this with you. Sounds won't play on the main controller, it's meant for remoting the command to play to the displayer. (I MIGHT put it back to the controller not sure yet. It's just a matter making sure that everything is timed up, we'll see.) And the game won't start if you're getting that database error. So I have to fix that first. As for the email collection, it should be disabled already. Made sure to do that this morning.

Hi, retched. I am so far getting first impressions of your first Alpha. So far, everything looks good, but what is annoying is frequent error messages. It was this one, "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine." Is it my computer or is it the software? I don't know if it is already mentioned or not in your announcement, but it looks good right now.
EDIT - It won't let me add a category, player, question, etc. If there is any problem related to that, let me know.

I'm having the same problem as well. I have Office 2016 (It came with the full Office 2016 installed), 75% sure it's 64-bit, and I used the 2010 redistributables (Since I tried the current ones, and they didn't work because when I tried installing the 64 bit version, it said I needed to delete the 32 bit files, and vice versa happened when I tried installing the 32 bit version), but it still shows that darn error every time I try to do something. I'm hoping you're able to fix this, sooo yeah.
