Have there been many $0 winners in the original Primetime run? See, I don't hear a lot at all of the subject being brought up in that time and place, and I'd like to know more about it...

Yes, there were a few. Not as many as on the daytime show, although, as I've said before, that's probably due to the fact that there are hundreds more syndicated episodes than primetime episodes.
It was an especially rare occurance to have a zero dollar winner on the primetime show, and when it happened it usually got some media coverage.

Whenever there was a zero dollar winner, all of the entertainment news shows would play the clip. Even before the days of Youtube, clips of zero dollar winners were widely circulated and ridiculed on U.S. television. It was actually quite a shameful experience for any player that walked away with nothing, especially when the show as at its height.

You'd be correct! Meredith has mentioned to contestants several times on the syndicated show that they "don't want to end up on Youtube."

For the primetime version, only 2 players bombed on the first question (Robby Roseman and Brian Fodera), and of all the primetime llamas (the Millionaire term for a $0 winner), 3 of them were female: Karla Robinson, Debby Mittleman and Jennifer Starks; 4 if you count Dede Bradley from Super Millionaire.

On the official ABC site for the anniversary Millionaire they have put back the online game...although I greatly was hoping that it would be spruced up a LOT and would be current with the syndicated version of the game (having the Ask the Expert and Double Dip lifelines, 10th anniversary feel, etc.).  |

I'm hoping they come up with a new game closer to the release date. I hoped that when "Super Millionaire" first aired, too, but it didn't happen then, sadly. They've barely changed that game in ten years!

Well, I have a feeling (and this is no guarantee whatsoever) and I’ve also heard Regis & Kelly talking about this and they both agree with each other that because of the recent world-wide popularity of Slumdog Millionaire, that will, “make people think, ‘Gee, what happened to that show?’” And now that pretty much the whole world has seen Slumdog Millionaire, and LOVES IT, Millionaire will be more popular now than it was when it originally went off of the air back in June of 2002 to transition into Daytime and that will, hopefully, once again, make ABC think, “Hey, maybe if we do this in moderation this time, we could actually have this as a series again; because we haven’t really had a successful “GAME SHOW” since the original Millionaire...”
The only thing I hope this time if it does become a series is that they don’t over-do it again. I think that something like two or three weeks at a time would work well; and then have another two or three weeks every two or so months. Anyway, that’s just my thought.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, anything is possible this time around.

I've been trying to find how many people have missed any of the first 5 questions...is there any stats on that?

I'm not sure about the USA version but in the uk there has been about 4 people who when away with nothing.

In the UK they had 8 people who gone home emptyhanded. The First was on January 1999, and the last was on 2005...
