Don't forget to see the updates at the bottom of the post so you can keep in touch with the latest news!
Hi everyone!
For a couple of months, I’ve been (and I still am) working on a WWTBAM software, written in Java.
My goal for this software is to make it as modular as possible, in order to have it at the end able to reproduce every single WWTBAM version, that exists or have existed, in all countries, mixing up money trees, musics, graphics, formats, and obviously, languages.
Yeah, that’s kind of an ambitious project, but being an IT school student and more of all a big fan of the franchise helps a lot being motivated .
So, now, what is actually done?
Well, here is the complete feature list as of now:
• Classic format
• Lifelines : 50:50, Phone-A-Friend, Ask The Audience, Switch the Question
• Customizable Money Tree (more below)
• Host screen (colored boxes, money tree, and you know, all that kind of stuff that goes here)
• Audience screen (with webcam support: Millichris, JessHack33 and I played a couple of games through Skype with this )
• Dual screen support
• Game rules explanation state (money tree, lifelines pings and contestant strap)
• Global game settings (more below)
• Classic graphics
• Classic soundtrack
• Rave soundtrack
• French language
You said customization, didn’t you? I want to know more!
Here you come, here is what you can customize:
• Money tree
Number of questions (from 1 to 15) and their values, which ones are safes after being correctly answered, currency text or symbol, currency display mode (before or after value, with or without a space between), money tree display mode (left or right-centered values), and finally, last question eventual special display (1 MILLION instead of 1 000 000).
• Global game settings
Contestant name and hometown, soundtrack (classic or rave), and question stack.
Yes, I know, seeing is better than reading, so here are some pictures:
