Hmm... That's quite a tough one... I think I can rule out English for you, simply because I don't think the Empire ever reached Mexico, so I can't see how it could be English... I don't think it was the Portuguese, as their empire was largely South American I think... Spanish, maybe, but Mexico speaks Spanish so they must have kept somewhat good relations... If I was in your position, I'd say France, simply because none of the others make sense to me... I'm only about 50% sure, have you got any more lif--- *BEEP BEEP BEEP*

I do think millionaireloveruk's logic is pretty sound in the sense that I don't think they would be speaking the same language as their attackers. My answer in mind was France.... and I am gonna stick with it. D France final

Well $25,000 is a good amount of money, but doubling it would be really great for me.
But as a French contestant, I don't really read about cover history of the mid-20th century magazines.
Norman Rockwell reminds me something only by its name, so I'm not able to properly answer the question right now.
I'd like to go 50:50 please.

Well, Saturday Evening Post speaks a little to me, but it is only a 50-50 chance of giving the right answer.
But I've nothing to lose on this question, so I'll take the two things that I know, or the two things that speak to me at least, and combine them.
