Hardest one I've seen is Steve Devlin's MDQ, which he chose not to answer. In 1912, former US President Theodore Roosevelt was a candidate for which political party? • A: Bull Moose • B: Bull Dog • C: Bull Elephant • D: Bull Frog Most people would know Roosevelt, but not the party,. it also looked like a trick question. This probably would have been a lower amount question on the US version I'd agree. On the U.S. version, I'd place this around 64K or 125K, no higher or lower. |

Didn't see an infamous MDQ here, so I might as well throw it in.
A number one followed by one hundred zeroes is known by what name?
• A: Googol
• B: Megatron
• C: Gigabyte
• D: Nanomole
Don't know about anyone else, but this one was easy for me. Megatron can be ruled out right away because it's from Transformers. Gigabyte is 100,000,000 bytes, or nine zeroes. And Nanomole is a mole, that's from Chemistry. I've heard of a Googol while randomly searching up values greater than god knows what, and seeing that term followed by so many zeroes. When I first saw Charles Ingram's run, I knew it was a Googol right away.

Maybe the producers threw this question in only after he'd won the £500,000 just to see if he'd be tempted to go for the mil and confirm their suspicions that he was cheating...

Remember that this was a winning MZQ: How much is 1111 multiplied by 1111, if 1 multiplied by 1 is 1 and 11 multiplied by 11 is 121? A: 12 321 B: 1 234 321 C: 111 111 111 D: 123 454 321 Not only is it a basic arithmetic question, they actually gave a hint in the question. It was almost impossible NOT to get it. |
