They way they're phrasing it, it would be a surprise if the contestant didn't win the million dollars. They've had MDQs before, after all, so just seeing another one is hardly monumental. Then again, they may just be fishing for viewers. We'll see. |

While I wait on the episode to be uploaded, I would like to address the comment made by Gagamillionaire.
Gagamillionaire: I just got to see the promo for the this entire week's worth of episodes (used before tonight's episode aired) and I would like to quote it, word by word.
The voiceover guy for the promo says "The biggest week of winners, EVER, Stars tonight at 5:30. Hot Seat has massive WINNERS breaking MILLION DOLLAR RECORDS. A massive winners week starts tonight 5:30 on Nine."
We might actually not see a $1,000,000 question being asked. Could be just the most won in a single week's worth of episodes or it could be the total amount ever given away in Hot Seat tops a certain million amount.

{Not happy with this spoiler from Channel 9}
The ads literally give away what will happen.
For example before yesterday's episode (Tuesday) a promo for it clearly showed only 5 contestants left.
That of course meant no $1,000,000 question asked again.
And then there is a current promo for tonight's episode (Wednesday), which catches you up on what happened the previous two nights.
In this promo, after you see only 4 contestants left (meaning only a maximum of $100,000 can be won for tonight's episode) and Eddie say "For 100,000 cash" the promo guy has the balls to say "Will this be the RECORD BREAKING WINNER?"
Of course it won't be, we are not stupid Channel 9.
Looks like it will be The Chase Australia for me tonight. |

I feel that Hot Seat is about to end.
Why? Because remember when Rob "Coach" Fulton won his $1,000,000 and Martin Flood won his $1,000,000 only a few weeks later, the Celador era (in Australia), ended in just a few months after the million dollar wins (Rob "Coach" Fulton was in October 2005, Martin Flood was in November 2005 and the final Celador episode was in April 2006)
Also when Million Dollar Minute was on, Andrew Skarbek won $1,000,000 (+ an extra $16,000) on March 2015. Final episode of Million Dollar Minute was in September 2015.
So I am saying that if Hot Seat ends up giving away $1,000,000 to one contestant, it could be the last hurrah before the last batch (probably uneventful) episodes before it goes off the air to be replaced with most likely another game show. |

We are still just doing a week of episodes! Don't be too impatient people. By the time I wrote this comment, I might have not seen yet 7 episodes of the"2 special weeks" of Hot Seat. They may still grant somebody the coveted "MILLIONAIRE" Title. I would take note though, yeah if it's this event will not be justified by good ratings, We might see another great country axing their Millionaire version.
To the question of what might replace Millionaire Hot Seat, maybe an Aussie version of "Pointless" I guess. |

They were cancelled due to low ratings. However because Hot Seat gets beaten by The Chase Australia almost everyday, Channel 9 MIGHT cancel the show soon. |

You know what, the photo I was trying to show you won't upload (even though well under the 1MB limit. Its 745.04 KB and I assume 1000 KB equal a MB)
That means I will just tell you by words.
It has been confirmed that the $1,000,000 WILL BE WON on Monday 29th August. That's only in a few days.
How did I know about this? By a promo blatantly spoiling the result for that episode. Not just the amount won but the contestant who wins it is revealed in a promo. Also there was text on the top right of the TV screen saying "MILLION DOLLAR WINNER - MONDAY 5;30" during tonight's Hot Seat episode.
