So yesterday's episode beat The Chase in the ratings (749,000 vs. 647,000). Good for them. It might save the show for the time being, provided they can retain some of the viewers. I feel it has already gone back to normal. (normal being The Chase Australia wins) We will find out tomorrow.

Gagamillionaire, you better watch your words because Millionaire Hot Seat has some tricks to beat The Chase Australia in the ratings war. Which would that be?

The statement that Millionaire Hot Seat beat The Chase Australia yesterday in the ratings. Of course, they might.

Like not cancelling the show for good, or give more spoilers for another millionaire. Who knows, maybe someone will win $1,000,000 again.

I feel throwing money at the problem won't solve the problem.
Last week Hot Seat gave away a total of $620,000 in the week.
In that week, Hot Seat lost to The Chase Australia in the ratings in every one of those days. If the $1,000,000 was not won last Monday, it would have resulted in another likely win for The Chase Australia.

Not canceling a show doesn't automatically produce good ratings. And they already spoiled this winner to a ridiculous extent, more won't produce better results. And it's a very cheap and desperate move. I feel throwing money at the problem won't solve the problem. I second that. People are obviously still looking for exciting gameshows that have them on the edge of their seats, but The Chase is simply much more suspenseful than Hot Seat.

It is clear that the ratings went south for Hot Seat last night (Tuesday). Way south.
The Chase Australia was the 14th highest rated program all day. Had 172,000 in Sydney, 241,000 in Melbourne, 122,000 in Brisbane, 80,000 in Adelaide and 101,000 in Perth. Grand total = 715,000 viewers.
Hot Seat. 18th out of 20th in highest rated programs all day. 178,000 in Sydney, 202,000 in Melbourne, 92,000 in Brisbane, 36,000 in Adelaide and 31,000 in Perth. Grand total = 539,000 people.
The Chase Australia won last night by 176,000 viewers. That's got to be two things at once. 1. The biggest win for The Chase Australia all year 2. The biggest disappointment all year, coming from a win the night before (won by 102,000 the night before and lost last night by 176,000 viewers)

Why did The Chase Australia dominated more? It's time for someone else!
