Oh? Then how come it is overwhelmingly voted when it has 10 votes against 8 votes and 2 votes? Also, if Daily Millionaire be changed, then all of the winnings will revert back to 0, because any reset or realteration shall result in all of the winnings reverting back to 0. I don't think Daily Millionaire be changed so that all players kept their winnings. If it changed to a new format, then we will start all over again. It's 10 against 2. 8 people are voting for a new game to be introduced, so that doesn't say much about whether they want to keep Daily Millionaire or not. If anything, it says that they're not happy with it as it is. I don't see resetting the leaderboard as a bad thing. At least 80% of the people on it don't play DM anymore. I myself haven't played it regularly in two years, and nobody even got close to beating me. And it's the same for millionairefan28 , whose last participation was three and a half years ago. I'm not saying this to toot my own horn, but to showcase how unrepresentative the leaderboards have become. Which brings me to my second point: For a while, we had our own little market crash on DM. People started giving away several millions of dollars for one question. Those who were active then, including yours truly, won buckets of cash. The Daily Millionaire Dollar has since regained its fictional value, and big payouts are much rarer now, but the Inflationaires are still high up on the board. I find it much fairer if the scores were reverted to zero on a regular basis (except GSK 's $292, which shall outlive us all). JCEurovision : If you want to keep updating the old scoreboards, there's nothing stopping you. I always found it a bit of a pain. I think it is very unfair if the scores were reverted back to zero. It will be completely useless. Sorry, Gagamillionaire, but I disagree on your statement that resetting the leaderboard will be good. It is better if we keep Daily Millionaire on a regular basis and retain the winnings as it is, but introduce a new format as the second Daily Millionaire. Also, 10 votes to 2 is not overwhelming. There are 8 people who are dodged on the issue and saying that introducing a new site game will be great.

Alright, children, listen up. First of all, the poll allows *two* votes to be cast. So it's far more representative to go off the number of voters as a baseline, rather than looking at just at raw numbers. So far, 13 people voted and 10 said "change Daily Millionaire". That's 77% of voters (not 50% like the poll suggests). It also means that only 3 people didn't vote for change in DM, while 2 people explicitly said "don't change it". 8 out of 13 people (62%) said "introduce a third game". I am willing to bet that most of those would have also voted "change DM" - however, that kind of stat is not avaliable to us, so we can only look at posts that were made. Lo and behold, pretty much everyone except JCEurovision suggested some change to DM *and* an alternative third game. Are any of these results overwhelming? Not really. We have had 35 members active in the past 24 hours, meaning that only a third actually voted in this survey. So it's far too early to make any decisions yet. Re: resetting the leaderboard The thread has gone over 6 years without a reset. The possibility was discussed within the thread itself, but it never happened. The thread is also over 360 pages long. Some will say it's unfair, as they've worked hard to build their position. Others, like myself, must be very surprised to see that they're still in the top 20. My last post in that thread? September 14th, 2011. And I'm still no. 19 on the leaderboard. Frankly, it might make newcomers feel slightly alienated in that sense. What's the point if you could've been working away for 5 years and not even beaten a guy who hasn't answered a single question in that time. The more I think about it, the more it feels like DM needs a fresh start. It's a great game, but it's too easy to lose the incentive to play. So I still think that some kind of "Special Editions" month might be welcome, perhaps in December 2016 to finish the old run and make a brand new fresh start in 2017. I'd still like to advocate the Theme Week game, as a separate one. I get the comments about commitment, but thinking about it, it really shouldn't be that difficult to write 5 questions, bearing in mind not all of them have to be MDQs. Besides, if I were to partake in that game, personally I'd have my set of questions prepared in advance, just in case I won. TL;DR - you can't just look at raw numbers in the poll and make judgements based on them; stop moaning about the leaderboard; Theme Week is a good idea; I'm gorgeous.

I just want to echo and expand on what RegisFan said. The staff will not be overseeing any changes to Daily Millionaire as it is - and always has been - a member-run game. If you would like our two cents for ideas here and there, we'll be happy to share, but we are not going to force any changes to Daily Millionaire. Any changes should be agreed upon by the majority of the consistently-participating members.

Also, please be sure that any changes incorporate some sort of mechanism to keep the game moving if one of the participants is MIA. A stalled game ruins the fun for everyone.

Assuming Daily Millionaire relaunches with a fresh start, would any of you be interested in graphics made specifically for it? These graphics would be released completely for free, and you guys could modify them or use them however you like. Their style is based on the 10th Anniversary site skin, voted by site members as their favorite of the three currently available skins.

The $292 dollars rings a bell here...I'm loving $292 now...
Anyway, the graphics are good. Can you try the orange one rather than the red one. For me , it's a bit off to be "Millionaire". By the way, in what program are these graphics made of?
Also, can you make other graphics based on the other themes here (eg. the Throwback and the Millionaire Fans Theme)

I only have the color palette for the tenth anniversary theme (since I created most of that theme's graphics in the first place), so it's unlikely I'll do graphics based on the other themes.

In terms of a 'new' (ish) site game, could we not go back to running 2 RPG's consecutively, but with the current RPG system (1-61) being the 'Daytime' version of the show, and the new ones being the 'Primetime' version, which only runs for a fortnight each month?
I think for the Primetime version the rules on formats should be stricter so that it is just one format that runs constantly. Hosting duties could also be shared between 2 or 3 experienced hosts as well, to give the game a much more routine and structured feel. The hosts would take it in turns to host the game. Contestant's runs could also run over into the next show, bringing a real meaning to the klaxon, and giving a more realistic feel. FFF contestants would have to be more than 2, and everyone participating would have to be quite active on the boards to keep the game running smoothly.
The set hosts would also act as the 'management' of the Primetime show along with the staff, and would decide if rule or format changes were necessary. They would also be in charge of keeping people playing.
Just an idea for a new-ish game. What does everyone think?

Your primetime idea is great and could bring something new to the boards that we've never seen before. I also like that you want to bring, as you said, a "structued feel" to it. Another thing, we could have graphics that would be used only for the primetime RPGs, as GSK did with his graphics idea for a potential new fresh start of Daily Millionaire. What do you think? If I've got any other ideas that comes to mind, I'll share them, but t hat's all I've got for now.

Thanks for the compliments of my idea, @amillionaire . In terms of 'specific' graphics, that would most probably come under the same format, for example if the Classic Format was chosen then there would probably be a set of graphics created which all hosts would have access to and would be expected to use, if they can help it. This would probably cover everything from the question graphics, moneytree graphics, lifeline graphics, all the way down to wording, fonts and sizes.

Considering there's been no 'criticism' of the idea, I will draft up a ruleset for the new RPG's. I'll probably post it in a new thread as the conversation would have changed enough to warrant that, I think.

I'd definitely like to see something new brought onto this site. That is not helpful. If you want to see "something new," please give suggestions rather than just saying things need to change. Thanks for your understanding.
