Hi guys! I'm quite a fan of 'Press Your Luck'. The format is one that really sits well with me, due to simplicity but at the same time the large amount of strategy involved, kind of like Millionaire. I'm sure there are other fans or at least people who've heard of the game here, so I thought 'Why not do an RPG?'. Before I explain any rules, I'd just like to see if anybody here would be interested in playing in this. I'd need 3 contestants, but I can do everything else. Whether or not there will be a question round will depend on if the contestants want one or not, or just an equal number of spins each. I'd really like to hear your opinions on this, but keep in mind any RPG won't start until Friday 4th November. I don't think this will be an issue with anyone, but I simply cannot really commit to anything major until after that date. (Yes, I'm still fine to do the Lifelines in RPG62.) MLUK EDIT: See my latest post for details. New sign up deadline: Wednesday, 2nd November @ 4PM GMT

I'm interested but how would the big board segments work?

I think the Big Board would probably just be done by a random number program. This would prevent any 'Michael Larson' performances. If you've got a better way, please, let me know. EDIT: It's Michael Larson, not Charles Larson.

I know of 'Michael Larson' but who is Charles Larson?

That's who I meant. Michael Larson. I was getting confused between him and Charles Ingram for some unknown reason XD

As long as no non playing members post answers for the question rounds (the current form of 'coughing the answer'), this should be a wonderful RPG.
NO WHAMMIES, NO WHAMMIES!

If anybody else is interested in playing, I will be bringing the RPG start forward, due to some of my mock exams being cancelled or moved back towards the end of the month. There was a gas leak at my school today, so it's closed, and the mock timetable is being re-arranged, putting today's exams back. So the RPG will start earlier, but there may be a 'Commercial Break' halfway through. More details of the game will be posted this afternoon, and the deadline for signups is now Wednesday, 2nd November, @ 5PM GMT.

Well at least the original date for starting was met... Time to actually start this! I'll explain the rules in this post, and I'll need you all to 'sign in' to confirm that you're ready to play. (The three contestants are: ausgameshowfan , tts500 and JCEurovision .) RULES: ROUND 1: First Question Round. To start the game, there will be a Question Round. During this round, a question will be posted here and you will have 24 hours to PM me your answers. If you get the answer right, you'll earn 1 spin of the Big Board. However, the first person to answer will have the chance to earn 3 spins if they get the answer right. If you get the answer wrong, however, you will earn 0 spins. There will be 3 questions in the first question round. ROUND 2: First Big Board Round In Round 2 you get the chance to use those spins you've earned in round 1. Money and Prizes go straight into your bank, but hit a Whammy, and your bank will be reduced down to zero, and you'll have 1 Whammy added to your score. 4 Whammies, and you're out of the game. At any time, you may pass all of your spins to the person in first place, unless you're first, in which case they go to second place. Any passed spins cannot be re-passed, unless a Whammy is hit, in which case they change from 'Passed' to 'Earned'. ROUND 3: Second Question Round This round is the same as Round 1, except with 5 questions instead of three. ROUND 4: Final Big Board Round This round plays out exactly the same as Round 2, with all Cash and Whammies being carried over. Whoever is ahead at the end of this round will be the winner, and may return in the next show if they wish. The other two contestant will win nothing. ---------------------------------------------------------- So if the three contestants could sign in please, we can get underway ASAP.

You've already done it . Just a simple post saying 'I'm ready' or words to that effect.
