I think I may have an idea because I'm really good at Geography. Not sure whether to risk £225,000 though...... No I'm pretty confident the Answer is D:Saint Helena final answer

Post ----------------- Earlier in the game, I said that both contestants MUST give me justified reasons for each answer they give, outside of the first 5 or 6 questions. The reason you've given above, as well as at least two other reasons, give me reason to believe that you aren't playing the game 100% fairly. Please give me a VALID, REASONABLE justification for going for D. If this was real life, and there was a real £225,000 at stake, I'm 99.99% sure you would not have the response. The game will not continue until I am satisfied that you personally thought that, and that you did not use the internet to find out the answer. ----------------- End

Post ---------------------- blade, a big part of our RPG code of conduct is to play the game realistically and only risk what you would risk in real life. Please take the role seriously and justify your answers and actions as best you can to give an enjoyable performance for all. millionaireloveruk, please resume the game once blade justifies his answer. Though blade has had a remarkable run, there is no concrete evidence of cheating. To his credit, he did burn through his Lifelines to navigate the third question tier. ---------------------- End

Post --------------------- I have not cheated at all, the questions have just fell kindly to me thus far, however I understand I haven't given reasonable justification. Some answers I just know and it is hard or sometimes impossible to fully explain how I knew it. For example the current question. I've just heard that it's Saint Helena. I hope you guys can trust me because I'm playing an honest game. Plus I am a risk taker. --------------------------------------- End

Post ---------------------------- You were asked to justify your answer, which you haven't done. Whilst you may just know the answer, that doesn't 100% pass on the internet, where you have the world's biggest information resource at your fingertips, and none of us would be any the wiser. If this game was done live and off of the internet, it would be incredibly hard to cheat, so most people would believe that you are being genuine, but as this is not live, a run where several answers go unexplained will immediately cast doubt into people's minds, especially when we have quite recently seen RPG cheating. The 'I'm a risk taker' clause is almost irrelevant, as if I did have a cheque with your name on it for £250,000 and you weren't 100% sure about your answer, you'd probably at least use your lifeline. You may be one of those people, but very, very few people would ever risk £225,000 on what appears to be a hunch, it just would not happen.
Take real Millionaire for example, where several contestants were up in the top tier and used their lifelines, or walked away, even when they thought they knew the answer, but the amount they stood to lose was simply too great. Quite often their hunch was right, but if they weren't 100% sure, they took the money. I think a lot of people don't, or can't, imagine what they would do if the money was real when they play this RPG, and I myself have been guilty of this in the past.
Back to my original point, you didn't actually justify your answer, and whilst I understand that you may not know how you know, you should have at least tried to justify, even by a process of elimination of the other answers. By immediately going on the defensive, you've only made yourself look guilty. I would still like you to justify your answer in your next post. In the meantime, the game will continue. Also, this post won't contain graphics, as I am on a different computer to usual. ---------------------------- End
*Q14 Final plays, D turns orange.*
It's in Saint Helena, you've won £500,000!
*Q14 Win plays, D turns green, lights come up, audience applauds* ------<£500,000>------ *Q15 Clocked lights down plays, set turns black.*
This is it. The final question. You still have a Phone-A-Friend, and you can walk away with the £500,000 you've 'earned' so far. Good luck, here it comes.
*Q15 Background music plays*
(PLAYING FOR: £1,000,000) (LIFELINES: PAF ATA x2 ATE) (STAND TO LOSE: £450,000) (GUARANTEED £25,000) (CURRENTLY HAVE: £500,000) In 1936, Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected President of the United States, enjoying the biggest landslide victory in an American election to date. How many electoral votes did his Republican opponent win?
A: Seven
B: Eight
C: Nine
D: Ten

Hmm.... I don't know... I think it's eight, but I'm not sure at all. I think I'll use my Phone a Friend.

Okay then, we'll get your friend m275abbott on the line. *Q15 Background music stops, Phone-A-Friend call starts, phone rings.* m275abbott: Hello? MLUK: Hi, is this m275abbott? m275abbott: Yes it is, who's calling please? MLUK: It's millionaireloveruk calling from 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?'! How are you? m275abbott: I'm good thank you. MLUK: Glad to hear it, we've got your friend Pachirisu in the Hot Seat, and he really is doing rather well. m275abbott: That's good. MLUK: But now he's stuck on a particular question, but he thinks you will know the answer. m275abbott: Well I hope I do! *Audience laugh* MLUK: I hope you do to. I don't want to worry you, but it's worth one million pounds... m275abbott: Oh... wow! MLUK: Wow indeed. You'll have 30 seconds (48 hours) to help out. The next voice you will hear will be Pachirisu's. I wish you the very best of luck, your time starts now. *PAF Clock starts*

So Pachirisu, I think I know this answer because I believe that Franklin Roosevelt's republican opponent back in 1936 was Alf Landon so I'm pretty confident that it is B: 8.

Thanks, m275abbott.
I mean, I'm a little sure that it's B, and so is m275abbott... so B: Eight, Final answer. *Puts hands together up on chin and closes eyes*

*Q15 Final Answer plays, audience gasp*
Well you've gone for it. A risk of four hundred and fifty thousand pounds on an answer you weren't particularly sure with. Your Phone-A-Friend agreed with your assumption, and based on both of your thoughts, you locked in B: Eight as your final, Final Answer. You could have walked away with half a million, but you didn't. Has eight just won you a million?
...
...
YES IT HAS!
*Extended MPW plays, audience are completely ecstatic, confetti falls down on the set, the set turns gold.* I cannot believe it! You have played the perfect game, and are, as such, rewarded with the ultimate prize, one million pounds! Before you have to leave us, tell me what you will do with that tax-free million?

That's an incredibly generous and noble thing to do, Pachirisu , and I wish you good luck with whatever you do with the money. For now though, we have to say goodbye to you, but please give him a massive round of applause, he leaves us with one million pounds, our most recent millionaire: Pachirisu ! *Clocked Millionaire Goodbye plays, audience cheers* That was, for the most part, a truly outstanding game. Some excellent general knowledge, coupled with some... questionable risks. *Audience laugh* But it resulted in him becoming our next jackpot winner. Can we make another millionaire tonight? Let's find out, please welcome our next contestant, exambolor! *Clocked Hot Seat Crossover plays, audience applauds. Q6/11 Lights Down plays* So, does following on from a million pound win put any pressure on you at all? Do you think we can make it two in one episode?
