Hello everyone. It seems like WWTBAM UK production opened an official Youtube channel : www.youtube.com/channel/UCKSxNv7X_ewMbXgs134rCJAIt features some classic moments, bests of, for the moment. Unfortunately, it may bring some legal restrictions on the entire episodes posted on Youtube. Let's see how it will progress in the next weeks.

Oh, if they have full episodes deleted just to make people watch their two minute snippets, I will get my voodoo doll! Seriously though, their timing is strange. The UK version ended three and a half years ago. Why would they create a YouTube account "now"? I mean one possibility could be the show's 20th anniversary next year. Maybe, and only MAYBE (before the conspiracy theories run wild), they have plans to bring it back in some form. After all, The Weakest Link is returning too. it's very curious, in any case.

It could be to prepare a come back of the UK version, or to promote the format on the international TV markets.

I wonder if they’re gauging interest in the format to see if there is any potential for a reboot down the road.

I am quite sure that millionaire is returning in UK , the background and the logo they use now is quite from the Indian version , this can mean millionaire is returning in UK

Most likely it will just be part of a portfolio to try and get more countries to buy the format. The Millionaire shop, twitter, Facebook and site are hardly updated

For one thing, Elstree Studios stage 9 has been handed over to the BBC, and Chris Tarrant says he wouldn't want to return to Millionaire because the show is too expensive to make.

Most likely it will just be part of a portfolio to try and get more countries to buy the format. Well, that could be true. On the other hand, it might actually give a sign that a reboot could be made, even though Chris Tarrant wouldn't host it.

For one thing, Elstree Studios stage 9 has been handed over to the BBC, and Chris Tarrant says he wouldn't want to return to Millionaire because the show is too expensive to make. It could be possible that the BBC could reuse Studio 9 for a National Lottery version of Millionaire. As far as I know, Lottery game shows are paid for by the lottery, and considering the price of a ticket never seems to stop going up, they must be using all that money for something. The Dutch ran their Millionaire as a lottery format, so why can't the UK revive it as one? In terms of hosts, if Chris wouldn't do it, there would be a few possible options. We could end up with somebody like Jeremy Vine (Eggheads and Radio 2 Host) or Richard Osman (Pointless co-host) or maybe even former Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman, seeing as the format they made for him appeared to be a bit of a flop, being axed after just 5/6 episodes. Seeing as the Weakest Link is coming back, we could possibly (although it's a long shot) see Anne Robinson becoming the BBC's go-to game show host. Other possible names could be Sue Perkins or Mel Giedroyc, or maybe even Eamonn Holmes. Noel Edmonds has been missing from the screen recently with the cancellation of Deal or No Deal, so maybe he could make the switch to the Beeb? Either way, the BBC seem to be opening up their studios to some more quiz formats recently, and with the 20th Anniversary of Millionaire coming up, I will certainly be watching this space for any news.
