I agree with Regisfan, that game looks absolutely fantastic as a whole! What I liked about it was that you did it as if you were watching the show (what I mean is that when you are playing, you are like watching the actual show, reminds me of that wedigtv game). What you could do is make a version with a 'green screen' in the background, no control instructions, so users can make their own episode, i.e. screencapture the software running simultaneously with the filming of the game, and when the footage is edited, they can use chroma key to place the captured game over the footage of the player! But well done!!!

I also agree with Regisfan - I'd love to have a go at it, and you can trust me about it - I won't distribute it! What do you think?

It is probably the BEST millionaire software out there and I'm not even kidding about that. It feels like you're in the seat. Me being a critical game analyzer, I can tell you any flaws that are in the game and what improvements that can be made. If this game were in stores or on Amazon, you'd practically be a millionaire already!
I agree with RegisFan 100%. There should be a password-protected subforum so anyone who he trusts can access it. The next thing is making a private server or finding a place to upload the file where 2WayTaffic will never find it. You can trust that I will never distribute it out in the open.
2WayTraffic would only be concerned if a new licensed home game was coming out, which is very unlikely (based off of FreMantle and BigJon's TPiR game being removed via Cease & Desist letter).

Well, if everyone's so interested, I guess I can make arrangements I'm going to spend the next week pondering a little bit. I don't really think 2WayTraffic is going to go after their show's fans because they made a look-a-like. So basically, the only people I worry about now are Linotype, who made the ITC Conduit family. But I guess, since it's not like I'm making any money of this software anyway, I'm kinda willing to take a risk. I'll include Conduit as an Embedded font, meaning you won't be able to have the original otf or ttf or whatever it was from the game. I'll distribute the original .fla files for the game, so if someone with Flash wants to edit it, they can do that, but they'll have to have Conduit ITC installed on their computer to accurately recompile the game. Check back toward the end of this week, I'll have more info available. leimeisei

Btw, if there are any changes that need to be addressed (New money tree, bugs, more questions etc.), you should consider them before posting the final thing. I'm willing to bet you made this with either c++ or flash. Hope to see further updates! :P SF49

Incidentally, how many questions are in the game?

there are probably around 30 of the first 14 levels and maybe 25 for the million dollar question.
I have given the software to a limited number of folks in the past, and they had no problem editing the XML file that puts the questions in the game. here is an excerpt for what sets up the $100 and $200 question levels:
<!-- $100 --> <questionset lvl="0"> <question id="1"> <text>What punctuation mark is commonly used to introduce a list of items?</text> <answers> <answer ata="96" ff="0" cor="1">Colon</answer> <answer ata="2" ff="1" cor="0">Apostrophe</answer> <answer ata="1" ff="0" cor="0">Period</answer> <answer ata="1" ff="1" cor="0">Exclamation Point</answer> </answers> </question> <question id="1"> <text>According to a well-known piece of advice, "If you want something done right, you have to" what? </text> <answers> <answer ata="2" ff="1" cor="0">Use a calculator</answer> <answer ata="1" ff="0" cor="0">Double-check everything</answer> <answer ata="96" ff="0" cor="1">Do it yourself</answer> <answer ata="1" ff="1" cor="0">Call a Republican</answer> </answers> </question> <question id="1"> <text>The United States uses the unique measurement standard most commonly known as what?</text> <answers> <answer ata="99" ff="0" cor="1">English</answer> <answer ata="1" ff="0" cor="0">Metric</answer> <answer ata="0" ff="1" cor="0">Antistandard</answer> <answer ata="0" ff="1" cor="0">Specialty</answer> </answers> </question> <question id="1"> <text>What ice cream company commonly uses the marketing trademark "31 Flavors"?</text> <answers> <answer ata="4" ff="1" cor="0">Breyers</answer> <answer ata="64" ff="0" cor="1">Baskin Robins</answer> <answer ata="25" ff="0" cor="0">Ben & Jerry's</answer> <answer ata="7" ff="1" cor="0">Dairy Queen</answer> </answers> </question> <question id="1"> <text>Homeowners use surge protectors to protect themselves against unexpected surges of what?</text> <answers> <answer ata="100" ff="0" cor="1">Electric Current</answer> <answer ata="0" ff="0" cor="0">Water flow</answer> <answer ata="0" ff="1" cor="0">Temperature</answer> <answer ata="0" ff="1" cor="0">Buyer's remorse</answer> </answers> </question> </questionset> <!-- $200 --> <questionset lvl="1"> <question id="1"> <text>The PlayStation line of video game consoles is manufactured by which company?</text> <answers> <answer ata="72" ff="0" cor="1">Sony</answer> <answer ata="8" ff="1" cor="0">Nintendo</answer> <answer ata="18" ff="0" cor="0">Microsoft</answer> <answer ata="2" ff="1" cor="0">Leapster</answer> </answers> </question> <question id="1"> <text>In the story The Boy Who Cried Wolf, who cried wolf?</text> <answers> <answer ata="25" ff="1" cor="1">The Boy</answer> <answer ata="25" ff="0" cor="0">The Girl</answer> <answer ata="25" ff="0" cor="0">The Grandmother</answer> <answer ata="25" ff="1" cor="0">A Pedophile</answer> </answers> </question> <question id="1"> <text>What is it often called when you roll the numeral 1 on both dice at the same time?</text> <answers> <answer ata="0" ff="1" cor="0">Private Eyes</answer> <answer ata="2" ff="0" cor="0">Black Eyes</answer> <answer ata="0" ff="1" cor="0">Idol Eyes</answer> <answer ata="98" ff="0" cor="1">Snake Eyes</answer> </answers> </question> </questionset>
