Hi, Regisfan, I would like the idea of a secure area of this site to distribute our work in. While my work (Powerpoints, on YouTube) are not as impressive as work by people such as leimeisei909, I have had a few requests before and have also been criticized for showing them the videos, but not distributing the PPt.
So far, to get around this, I have cited 'copyright issues' etc, but if you could open a secure section where trusted people could get access to other people's work, that would be great.
BTW, I finally got the clock under control in PPT 2010! A video demonstration of it, using double dip is below. The format follows the syndicated series, but the lighting scheme follows Australia's 'Hot Seat'.

I'm not RegisFan, but I'll lay down my thoughts on this- It is a very good idea. I've seen your PPTs and they're awesome. This very idea was proposed to leimeisei by RegisFan himself. It's a very good idea to make a password protected forum so trustworthy ppl that we can all agree that we can trust can access it. That way, you not only distribute your PPT, but you can also get some feedback on how to improve your PPT. I'll say the same thing that I said to leimeisei:
"2WayTraffic will most likely not care unless a home game was coming out anytime soon".
I have been here for almost a week, but you can trust that I will NEVER distribute anyone's software publicly.
A problem is that a way to get around it is that someone can just google search a roughly good guess for what you would name your ZIP file and get to the hosting server directly, so you'll have to try to name it as obscure as possible. Other than that, there's no issues.

It's been suggested, but yes, it's a good idea!

I'm very willing to do this. Should it be one forum for everyone's projects? Or perhaps a password-protected forum filled with password-protected subforums for each individual project? What are your thoughts?
And, by the way, that PowerPoint is really nice. I didn't know you could make such a complex game with PowerPoint.

I don't know how possible this would be, but it would also be nice to have a special feature where a user could upload a file(s) and that would be accesable by specific users only.
Does that make sense?

I went ahead and made a section on the site called "Fan Games." It is password protected, and no one knows the password as of right now. I'm still working out the kinks in the system.
Finalanswer19, there isn't any file upload feature on the site. Users will have to use other services to host their files and link to them securely on the password protected board.
Currently, I'm still deciding whether to give each fan project its own section and password in Fan Games or simply lump all fan games together with a common password.

You should probably make a poll about this. As a suggestion I'd say lump them up into one common password so the whole section doesn't turn into one big wired mess of subforums.

Yes, it's better to lump them together.

Then again, you can make subforums, BUT only for specific types of games (Powerpoints, Flash etc.), not for every individual game. You can make the subforums with no passwords.

I think the creators of the games should be able to decide the terms individually. If someone is a little more protective of their creation, they should be able to follow through with that.

And now I got stopped cold with your idea lol But yes, I do agree with you cuz some people will just be more generous while others will be more protecive, so yeah, great idea. Never thought of it that way.

Its a fan games section... not a "music cues and graphics" section. You can put the graphics up on "General Millionaire Discussion" while put the 10th anniversary cues on "10th anniversary discussion".

Yeah, right....but I don't want to give the graphics to every one ! The graphics is on "Copyright" but if someone want them in the futur fan games section, I can give it !! So I'll put the graphics, and why not some animations, in the fan games section but for the cues, you're right !
