Hello there. I hope I'm in the right place for this.
Out of boredom I was browsing through a few Millionaire videos on YouTube and got to the one with Sheridan Booth, the criminal who only won £500 (though had the money stripped), and someone in the comments to that video linked to the Millionaire Wiki with more information on his criminal record. The page there mentioned Cheryl Turner who was the only person to actually win £500 and keep it, but this was during the 1998 Christmas Special.
I started looking through other contestants from that episode and the wiki page only shows their last question before getting the answer wrong or walking away. There's also no photographs of the contestants, no links to any video source, no information on where the contestants were from. The only photograph that does exist is of Cheryl Turner, though it's resolution is really small, low quality with a red boarder around it for some reason and it's in black and white. It also has no source apparently as putting it through Google Images just leads back to the Wiki page, and the person who uploaded the picture hasn't provided a source either since when someone asked him about where it came from he simply ignored the question. It's possibly photoshopped.
The one thing that's sticking out to me is...how do we know that these contestants got those questions? On Dave Reagan's run for example, it shows his £125,000 question and nothing else. The only question we have "proof" of is Cheryl Turner's £500 question since the image of her shows her answering it correctly, but as I said there's a chance the image is possibly photoshopped. There's no source for any other questions, presumably someone put them up from memory but the shows was from 1998 and the pages for the three other contestants were created in 2016.
I've had a look for myself for this elusive episode, but with no luck. No video site has it, no news site has it, everywhere I look, the majority of the results are for different chirstmas specials or for the first 10 episodes.
The one thing that prevents me from calling this episode 100% fabricated is that there do exist TV ratings of the show from the year.
