Sony really seems to be cranking them out, possibly good news for a 20th-anniversary reboot? itunes.apple.com/us/app/who-wants-to-be-a-millionaire/id1418794453?mt=8Apparently, this one has been in Android beta for a while but is still in pre-orders on iOS. Not really a point for them to be in pre-orders as the app is free, but you can still order the app for download when it comes out. The app appears to be in the style of Jeopardy! World Tour and is set to come out on the 27th. An interesting thing in the description is that it mentions the lifelines Ask The Audience, 50-50, and Ask An Expert, while also featuring another lifeline (Swap the Question??) in the photos. It also claims to have an offline mode, which should be good. Minor note: The game uses the old (not really but they aren't used in S17) graphics. Overall the whole thing seems nice but could be a massive flop come the 27th.

Preregistered for the Android version. I couldn't find the beta.

Very interesting! How unusual to have two apps available concurrently... not that I’m complaining!
I’m particularly looking forward to the offline mode! I’m not against online play for these types of apps, but making online play mandatory limits the fun and potentially shortens the game’s lifespan.

Has anyone seen the new WWTBAM app that is being released September 27? It’s available for pre order on the U.S. App Store. I am looking forward to a new app, hopefully it’s decent. Would like a new PS4 version now...

Do you have a link to the page where the app is?

Just like Sony has two apps, we had two concurrent threads on this very topic. They have been merged, so please pardon the mess.

Ugh, mystery boxes... It's an ok app, better than the other one, but still far away from great.

I would rather pay for a good app (like the 2011 release) that was true to the show and didn’t have all these ads. Why isn’t the show promoting the app at all?

I downloaded the app, but it's on Google Play and I played the test version. It updated constantly.

It’s similar to the other app that’s out there now, but with a slightly better presentation and less accurate use of the music cues. Not a disaster, but still a far cry from the Capcom games of yesteryear.
I imagine the lack of in-show promotion is due to the seeming lack of Disney’s involvement.
Has anyone figured out how to access the advertised offline mode yet?

Has anyone figured out how to access the advertised offline mode yet? You enter the app without a connection. This app looked promising but it feels like a cheap cash grab ala WOF Free Play or Jeopardy! World Tour.

The show just released a preview of the app on their social media page. In this preview of the app they are using the first tier original music. I haven’t heard the original music on the actual app, perhaps a small clue for a 20th anniversary? Hey, I can hope!!
