Since Millionaire's premiere in the UK, the show became more popular around the world and developed to being the most popular game show of all time. Despite the change of ideas, gameplay, format and music, the show still featured it's main trademarks revolving around suspense, drama and emotion. But what exactly are the most fundemental things that belong to the show? To determine the answer to this topic, let me through a few possibilities:
1. THE HOT SEAT
This was one of the most recognized and loved features of the show, which is why I believe that this is one of the most fundemental and remarkable things about Millionaire itself. It made contestants feel more comfortable during a difficult and nerve-wracking question and mostly contributed to the nostalgic feeling that had been present in many WWTBAM formats. While no longer being a part of Millionaire in the U.S., it still had quite a great influence on the previous formats and is still being known to be one of the most important remarks of the show.

With every format of WWTBAM passing, the show had to have a certain development, which was meant to change the experience during gameplay or the visuals of the show (for example the question graphics, the studio, etc.). This is where it's ideas had done the greatest amount of contribution. As we can see, all of the ideas had contributed to Millionaire's evolution in the format and the gameplay experience, which is why I personally consider the ideas to the show to possibly be the most remarkable thing about Millionaire, since they have done many contributions to the show itself and still continue to do so.

Ever since the show's beginning, this is one of the most important factors it was known for and which was the one that put a lot of emotion into WWTBAM's gameplay - the music. The cues used in Millionaire had quickly become recognizalbe all over the world and symbolized the emotion, which was greatly expressed during the gameplay of the show. This indeed shows how the music had a huge amount of influence on Millionaire, since it perfectly captured the emotion in every situation of the contestant and was focusing to give the show a rather dramatic feeling. With the change of the formats, the music had also gone through many different phases, which gave it a certain connection between the format and the ideas. That is why the music counts as one of the most fundemental things of WWTBAM and still influences the gameplay experience and the format.
To summarize my opinion, I believe that every factor of Millionaire had done many contributions to the show itself, which is how Millionaire was able to develop to the greatest show of all time and express the ability to be able to change somebody's life forever.
