Would anybody have any interest in this? I’m looking for between 5-8 players.
Here are some ground rules, before you sign up.
1. Your turn in the first round will be in the order you signed up on this thread. Just like real life, the strongest link would start the next round. If there’s five players, and the third person to sign up was the strongest link, then they’d go first, followed by the fourth person to sign up, etc.
2. Players will be voted off, just like real life, and in the event of a tie, the strongest link will cast the deciding vote, and they may switch their vote if they voted for one of the people tied with the most votes.
3. Banking. Since this is an RPG, it’s different from real life. If you bank, you must do so after the person before you answered, but before I acknowledge the answer.
Example.
Question: Glenn Frey or Don Henley: Which member of the Eagles provided the lead vocals for Hotel California?
Contest 2: Don Henley
Contestant 3: Bank.
Me: Correct.
Then a new chain, and the next question. There’s no penalty for banking on a wrong answer, but I encourage you only to do so if you’re confident the person before you gave the correct answer.
4. Money trees will replicate the ones in real life with Jane Lynch, and yes, I probably will bring an Anne Robinson/Jane Lynch style to this RPG.
5. There will be a final two going head-to-head, like in real life, in which case the strongest link, or second strongest, from the final three will decide who goes first.
6. Obviously, there won’t be a timer, but each player will get multiple turns per round. If we have eight players, two full turns in the first round. The final three might get four or five turns.
I think that’s it. Do any of you have any questions?
