...winning only $10,000-$15,000? I mean in recent days, those are the only amounts people are winning. They don't seem to go past the $25,000 mark anymore. What's going on???

I'm not sure, although I guess they could have possibly started having harder questions due to nearly EVERYBODY winning at least $25,000. I mean, at some point getting to $25,000 just meant to me that you didn't fail completely.

It's that loony Michael Davies! If he hadn't gotten rid of the Phone-A-Friend, this wouldn't happen!

Harder questions, and one lifeline less... even if I think it comes more of harder questions

They have terrible question writers nowadays IMO. Did anyone notice during the 10th Anniversary shows that EVERY QUESTION SET had a Barack Obama related question? And stupid things too, like the Secret Service codenames for Sasha and Malia. Who would know that off the top of their head? The guy I believe had to use Ask the Expert, and that day the Expert was a Washington press member, so they got it, but still... stupid.
Millionaire isn't even played during the day anymore in my area. My local NBC affiliate used to purchase the show for the 3PM timeslot, but they now purchase some show called "Dr. Oz" instead, now some no-name station picked up WWTBAM and airs it at 2:30 AM, which I could DVR but quite frankly it's not even worth it. In my area, every standard-def Comcast digital channel is really shaky and the video quality sucks, even on standard def TVs, so I don't even bother.

I think that more contestants are leaving before the second milestone because of the new money tree. Because the amounts before the $25,000 level are bigger than before, contestants have no problem with walking away at those levels. I think that was the strategy behind the new money tree to begin with- to give away less money while appearing to give away more.
I'm more concerned with the recent rise in the number of contestants leaving with nothing.

That may be the case, but I hope contestants win big again (i.e., beyond $25,000...or possibly another millionaire)...

We all hope that! I'd just like that the next big winner won't be coming from another Tournament thing...

It's also really boring (and hard) to watch Millionaire with all of the middle-of-the-road winners. Maybe if they'd use some easier questions and have smarter contestants we'd start seeing more money given out.
Millionaire was the only quiz show I can think of that didn't drop their jackpot amount after switching from Primetime to Syndication (ie. Deal or No Deal dropped from $1 Million to $500,000; 5th Grader dropped from $1 Million to $250,000), so I can understand they they can't afford to give out as much money as they did on Primetime, but this is just stupid.
I don't know how Millionaire is still on with all of the changes they made.

5th Grader dropped from $1 Million to $250,000 Hey, yeah! Our version of that had a primetime of £250,000, but daytime had just £50,000!

Oh, I didn't know there was primetime AND daytime versions of "10 year old" in the UK...

Sky1 jumps from Noel's primetime (normal+celebrity) version to Damian's daytime version - for some time they air primetime, and for some - daytime.

There's not so many shows that have both primetime and daytime versions at the same time. It should be a real ratings winner then !
