Sorry about not posting, it has been very sluggish due to this. Anyways, according to my ISP's Fair Access Policy, I have to be below 70%. At the moment I am, but it still says I am in violation even though I shouldn't be. So what I am going to do is upload it right now, sorry for any delays!

What ISP do you currently have. And what is this fair access violation? I'm not understanding.

My ISP is Wildblue, now owned by ViaSat.
Fair Access Policy is where I can download and upload only so much. So if I download a 1 GB file, my threshold goes up 1 GB. I have a total of 17 GB available for download, and recently, my network was hacked and it went up very quickly. So then I have to wait for it to go down to 70% before I am returned to normal, and I absolutely hate it when it does go over the threshold.
The Fair Access Policy is completely understandable, because, without it, their entire network would crash. It is satellite powered, so they can only take so many "beams" at one time until they have to start to degrade their service.
And out where I live (about 1 mile from cable/DSL) it's either dial-up, or satellite, and HughsNet is much worse. Also, since my dad sells it, we get internet service for free, and the service isn't that bad. My speeds are consistant, and for the most part, fast enough.

Satellite internet sucks for that "Fair use" thing. Otherwise it's pretty good... We thought about having that to my home (in France) but it's way too expensive. either you have an hybrid with upload data going through a dial-up connexion and and download through the sat, but having both was already a bit expensive and really unpractical (one of the main advantages of broadband is that you could use the phone while being connected), and having a true all-satellite internet access would cost way too much then (hundreds of dollars a month). Since your get it for free...

Well it works pretty good for us, but you are right, it is very expensive to use, but it's a lot better than dial-up, but our satellite has a fast enough uplink and downlink for us, so I'm happy with it (and it's free! ). Anyways, good news everybody! I am uploading the second and third right now!
