Sorry for my abscence; holidays were fun.
So, who would be interested in participating as a contestant? I already got a set of questions from RyanZ (excellent work, by the way) and I would be pleased to do some kind of a test run with one fastest finger round and one set of questions.

My friend has set up an internet page with three components: A stream player, a Java IRC client automatically connecting to the appropriate server + channel where the game takes place and his WWTBAM Java applet.
I read the questions and stream them so they play on the stream player. At the same time, I configure the applet to show the question. The contestant then answers via the IRC chat, after which I will tell him if his answer is correct or not (which will also show on the applet). Of course the music will also play through the stream.
There will be two channels, one for the game and one for the audience (let's call them #wwtbam and #wwtbam-aud). The game channel is moderated (so nobody without voice rights can say anything) and only the contestant will be given voice rights. The contestant will also have to leave the #wwtbam-aud channel, because the audience is free to chat and speculate about the questions and we don't want the contestant cheating, do we?
When the contestant wants to ask the audience, the people on the #wwtbam-aud channel have to post their opinion on the question and mark it with [VOTE]. Any line without the "[VOTE]" mark will NOT be considered in the final results.
After some time, the results will show on the WWTBAM applet for everyone to see.
