I remember this! I was like, "Hurry up!!!" XD
Anyway, I agree with the clock formats you mentioned. It should've started at 30 seconds and then added 15 seconds each level. It would've made more sense and the contestants wouldn't be under so much pressure. I was kinda surprised when Shuffle came out that it wasn't timed. I was wondering if you had all the time you wanted to answer the question or if there was some sort of hidden timer. I do think that contestants still rush their answers rather than putting thought into their answers.

I think contestants rush their answers because they're standing up. I heard Meredith mention that in an interview, and it makes total sense. If you're on your feet, you feel more inclined to answer quickly, as opposed to taking your name and thinking about the answer choices.

I agree with that statement. I think you just feel more antsy when you're on your feet. I'm not sure if that's why the hotseat was removed or what but I don't like that change at all. I think you're much more relaxed when you're sitting and not trying to hurry to get off your feet. Regisfan, since you were at a taping of the shuffle format, about how long was an actual episode taping non-stop? I mean I imagine the episodes are edited and cut down to fit the time slot so basically my question is, how long is an episode with no breaks and uncut?
