I've always been wondering how do people know famous people. Mech, are you like a friend of his or did you just happen to get in touch with him 'by chance'? If it's private info then I shouldn't ask about it and so you might feel you don't want to answer (I've been thinking 10 minutes how to make this last sentence not sound harsh to anybody in anyway - I'm not an expert in that
).Most of the time they find me on youtube and that's how we first meet. I get messages from contestants pretty regularly asking me if I can upload their appearance or make a privately linked video for them that they can show their friends, family and the like.
In the Tournament of Ten case, I was first contacted by Alex Ortiz about uploading a video for her. She actually put me in touch with most of the tournament contestants and I did some videos for a few of them. I still keep in touch with her, Jehan and Sam pretty frequently these days along with a few others - they're a pretty nice bunch of people
Edit: This post reminded me of the video I originally made for the tournament players. The idea is that some of them wanted a montage of their appearance and it was themed to "I've Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas. That song was played during commercial breaks before each contestant faced their $1 Million question so it was an obvious choice.
