If I pronounce it "Eye-see-muhl", will I get sent back to the 5th dimension?

leh-me-see is how I've always pronounced it but 'lay-may-say' is how 99.99999% of people say it (and that is probably the phonetically correct way). There's a story behind it if you want to hear it.
Pronounce it however you want though.

Well, now I have to know the backstory behind the name. You can't tease us like that and expect us not to bite, leimeisei.

Alright, it's 2004. I'm 12 years old, and on the computer screen in front of me is the Runescape new user screen, and I can't think of a good username to save my life. As I go through a bunch of names in my head, my little brother comes in and says his Gameboy isn't working. That's when I said "Let me see" in a really lazy way (i.e. "leh-me-see"). I thought about it and I was like.. hmm what would happen if I sound-spelled that. I typed in "leimeisei" and that's how it came to be. Also, I've been Runescape-sober since 2005 so don't add me as a friend on there or something and expect me to be on

I'm actually glad we dedicated a whole thread to this. I've been wondering how to pronounce it for MONTHS! I now feel...COMPLETE. =)
