Regis Philbin, beloved daytime talkshow host and host of the U.S. version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and the talent series "America's Got Talent," is going to undergo triple bypass surgery later this week.
He said, "I've been feeling chest pains, shortness of breath
and all those little symptoms that you hear about." He says that
after a number of tests, doctors recommended the bypass. Philbin then went on to say, "Darn it, I don't want to do it."
Regis was hoping to get away with an angioplasty, but he says "there's some plaque in some arteries and I've got to get it cleaned out."
Regis made the announcement this morning on Monday, April 12 during Live! With Regis and Kelly.
This is sad news for all of Reege's loyal fanbase, and we at Millionaire Fans wish him all the best in the surgery. Remember to keep Regis in your prayers. Here's to a successful procedure and a full recovery!
