Via Buzzerblog: Who Wants to be a Millionaire is coming back to its home country for another live special. Off the success of the live Christmas and Mother’s Day editions, ITV is bringing back the Chris Tarrant hosted quiz show for live celebrity “School’s Out” edition. The special edition will air on Friday, July 15th. This episode of Millionaire will feature celebrities and their teenage children sitting in the hot seats and facing the big, bad clock and twelve questions for a chance to win £1,000,000.
Celebrities sitting in the Hot Seat include television presenter Fern Britton, boxer Joe Calzaghe and comedian Bob Mortimer. They’ll each be playing with their teenage child and winning up to £1,000,000. Half the money will go to charity and half the money will go into a viewer prize pool. At the conclusion of the show one lucky viewer will be called up and asked to answer one question for the entire bank. Also, from BB, the logo for this Celeb Special:  So, what do you think? Do you feel that this celebrity specials break the true format of the show? Or do you think that these specials help the show gather more audience? It's great to see Millionaire on the air in any country, if you ask me. These live shows may not be as good as civilian episodes, but they're still Millionaire, they're still great entertainment, and they're still keeping the series alive. I bet all of our UK members are really looking forward to this!

I can watch it, using a free UK VPN trial, but for some reason my downloaders aren't working...perhaps they upgraded their flash player security?
EDIT: Just finished watching it - Chris announced at the end that there will be a "Mega Millionaire Weekend" in August, with two nights of Millionaire. Look forward to that!

It was great, but I'm wondering when they'll actually get the pace right, to get three full games within a show. But I enjoyed last night and I'm soooooooo looking forward to the "mega event"  |
