Well, this is it. Anne Robinson's left The Weakest Link, and the show's been cancelled. Though we can be proud that they've never done a bad show, oh no, ratings have been steady, and even William Shatner was on it! (So was David Tenant et al). The important thing is, Weakest Link was like a sister to Millionaire.

Has it already ended??? I thought it was gonna air until 2012... But yeah, The Weakest Link and Anne Robinson are amazing. I'm really gonna miss watching Anne pick on the contestants. She's probably the only person who can insult people that directly without anyone feeling deeply offended ("Why are you fat?"). It's the end of an era!

I liked her hosting here in the US; though some people liked George Gray hosting the daytime version. He liked to make everyone laugh with his put-downs. (i.e. "If this were a group of superheroes, who would be Loser Man?" LOL!)

I'd say that both Robinson and Gray were great; both had different styles. Anne was like "a reasonably fine start, team. you've banked $125,000!" And George was like "Yeah, whatever, you got your $25,000. Hooray! Oh wait, one of you is getting kicked out!" Both were good hosts, and the Weakest Link was a great show. What killed it in USA was the Celebrity specials (which were meant to boost the ratings) as it happened with Millionaire, and the Syndie version had to beat Millionaire. The UK version is gonna die, because Anne is leaving. And if you ask me, that's good. It's good for the show to stop when it's good. That way, people remember it as good.

At least the daytime Link didn't rely on celebs. And the daytime Millionaire has, thus far, only used celebs for sweeps periods (which is what prime time Millionaire should've kept doing--but once 9-11 came and went, they decided to get people back with a Celeb version that consisted of all the celebs donating their winnings to various 9-11 charities)
