According to an article on buzzerblog.com, the Dutch production company 2waytraffic has bought the rights to "Millionaire" for a whopping $200 million! The company initially stated that they want to make Millionaire more interactive than ever. Okay, then why is Play-It, the most popular interactive game in the country, closing?

You beat me to it, mm!
I've never heard of 2waytraffic, but I hope that they actually do something with the property, especially in the U.S. The deal really doesn't affect Syndicated Millionaire too much (at least for now), but I hope something is done in terms of a primetime show. I think U.K. and European versions of the show may be hit harder by this.
Oh, and $200 million dollars- wowee! 2waytraffic must really have wanted this property!

They sure did! 2waytraffic is one of the world's largest companies when it comes to mobile interactivity. The UK and other countries across Europe are more into the mobile version of Millionaire which plays on their cell phones. I assume the company will target this media before taking on the show itself.

I was thinking the same thing.
I hope they don't change the show too much, if at all, although I wouldn't object slight modifications.

The company initially stated that they want to make Millionaire more interactive than ever. They've overdone that, that's for sure!
