From C21Media: Celador International MD Adrian Woolfe has resigned from the company and is launching a legal action against his former employer, parent company Complete Communications Corporation (CCC) and its chairman Paul Smith.
Woolfe has hired Anthony Julius, the prominent British lawyer and academic who has fought divorce actions for the late Princess Diana and currently Heather Mills, to head proceedings against the three parties.
The fall-out is thought to be related to Woolfe's long-held plans to buy out Celador International, which were crushed two weeks ago when Dutch interactive company 2waytraffic won the bidding war for quizshow Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and is now in exclusive buy-out talks.
As part of the deal, 2waytraffic is set to pick up rights to the entire intellectual property and format library of Celador International, which also includes You Are What You Eat (currently being developed by ABC in the US), Brainiest and No Waste Like Home.
Woolfe told C21 that despite his loyalty to the company, he had been treated "very, very badly" and wanted to see justice done. "I've worked tirelessly for the company for 10 years, first at Celador Productions then at Celador International, and dedicated a lot of my life to it," he said.
"I hoped for a very long time to take over the company and was given the exclusive opportunity for a management buyout of the whole company. This has been taken away from me."
A CCC representative confirmed that Woolfe has filed the action against Smith, CCC and Celador International. "We are extremely saddened this has occurred and that Adrian has decided on this course of action. We refute his claims and will make our response through the appropriate channels in due course," she said.

I really don't know what to make of this. This may or may not affect Millionaire. Only time will tell.
