This is the sign-up thread for the seventh official Millionaire Fans RPG. This particular RPG will be video-based. In addition to serving as a sign-up thread, this thread will also serve as a planning thread for the RPG. A video-based RPG project will be a lot of work and take a lot of coordination, so please make sure that you are willing to put forth the necessary time and effort before agreeing to take on a role. As usual, please read over the RPG rules and guidelines before volunteering to take on any responsibilities.
Millionairefan28 will serve as the coordinator for this project. While I will not be directly leading this RPG, I will be overseeing progress and making sure that everything goes smoothly. Millionairefan28 is a capable leader, so please respect his decisions and do your best to follow his vision for the project.
I'm now going to hand this thread over to millionairefan28, who will make a list of the roles that need to be filled and state his general plan for the RPG.

So what we need for this RPG are the users that are capable of capturing their face, desktop, and voice and posting them to the thread. This of course varies depending on your position of the RPG. The most important is if you want to be the Host/Computer role. If you decided to sign-up as the Host/Computer, you will need to be able to capture your desktop computer screen and at least have a microphone or a webcam to capture your voice and/or your face as we go along.
As for the contestant, I strongly suggest you have a microphone at least so you can record sound bites of you locking in your answer and talking to the host. Now, if all else fails, text posts of the contestant locking in their answers will suffice, but hopefully we won't have to go with that. The best scenario for the contestant is a few seconds of video of them saying "Wow, Regis, I think I've heard of this before, but I'm uncertain. I'd like to Ask the Audience." or something like that. Because with that video, we can make the final project look spectacular. Speaking of, I will take the role of the final editor of the 5 shows to compile all the videos into one and make it look like a real show, that should be a boatload of fun!
Lastly, for those who do not have a camera or microphone and would still like to participate, we have the question writers. We'll need 5 question sets, 5 games, it makes sense. So, if you can, write as many questions of proper increasing difficulty as you can, that would be greatly appreciated. I've constructed a demo video below to further go into how this jumble of beta RPG video gaming will go.

i can maybe do question writing i have been giving some good ones as of late so will attempt that i would do the host role but my webcam broke  |

This is my first RPG I might possibly be participating just to let you know that.
Sorry to hear about ur webcam Thorklein, but i'm actually of thinking of doing the Host/Computer role myself.
My Webcam (which has a microphone) unfortunetly is very low quality, you'll still be able to see me, but somewhat you may not be able to see some of my face . The microphone quality is also very poor, you wouldn't be able to hear me very well if I used that microphone.. Luckily, I can capture my computer with my camera, my iPod Touch, and/or my iPad 2.
I have the Open GL Super Millionaire game I can use for the RPG.
I can be an excellent host, i'm pretty enthusiastic at something like this. If some one just say wins $32,000, I would say it loud and proud "YOU JUST WON $32,000!!!!"
I hope your willing to accept me as the host. If i'm not able to, that's the way it goes. It's up to you millionairefan28. Wish the best of luck. ;D

thorklein: sorry about the broken webcam... feel free to write as many questions as you please! PM me with the questions when you are complete. thank you!! ;D millionairefan64: excellent, first, I STRONGLY suggest using CamStudio, it's free and I tested it, it runs well with the SM OpenGL software. You can record a seperate video of your face or just capture audio with the microphone. Please do give it a try. Here's the link: (Windows OS Only) sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio/files/legacy/Camstudio2-0.exe/downloadHowever, you can still use any type of camera/capture device, an iPhone/iPod touch/iPad, your phone, webcam, professional video camera, it doesn't matter. Sure, if you need to record your computer screen with a camera, that's ok, please do. I would suggest use use a tripod or make sure you can keep the camera level and not wobbling back and forth. You'll take the role as host as well, who would you like to be? (e.g. Regis, Meredith, Chris, etc.) Oh, and if you can put in a Picture in Picture (PIP) when you create the video clips, that would be great also, if not, that's ok, I can do it afterwards. ;D

I do have one thing that I'd like to throw out there as far as question writing is concerned. As this RPG will represent the site and the fan community, please proofread your work and make sure that your grammar is perfect. Sloppy grammar is not only one of my pet peeves, but it can really demolish the professionalism of any project. If you're going to write questions for this RPG, please make sure that your writing not only captures the feel of a real Millionaire question, but that it is also free of errors.

Sure @regisfan i am a speed typer i have been known to make a few errors or not check at all that's why i have a script bot to help me with that and it lets me know when i forgot some small typos  |

I will sign up to take the role as host/computer. I work very well in front of a camera and if I stutter or make another unnessecary sound, I usually start over.

Yep, we'll have 5 shows. So I'll host the first one, and probably the last one. Millionairefan64 can host the second one and HeadshotMagnet can host the third one. If we don't find another person to host then we'll just have four games. ;D
