In your opinion better version of that show was american or british? Okay, seems as nobody is pointing out anything here, I'll be the first to do it: sandraszek, I understand you want to be part of the forum (so do I) but I do believe you are organizing a bullfight between the members with the "American and British" comparison. First of all, it should be addressed as the United States of America, as there are other countries in America, not just your own. Also, some game shows have various origin countries, like South America, France, Germany, Spain, Russia, Arabia and Egypt. Not all game shows are from the United States or Great Britain. Second, why would you compare two incredibly massive entertainment industries? Do you want the forum to burst up in flames with patriotism? And finally, what is the thread about? It has been here for ages and nobody has ever responded to it. I might be out of sorts, but I'd like to know, thanks. I've seen patriotic fights (or wars) on the web, and they aren't pretty. It would be a shame for your thread to have the same fate. I know that you possibly mean no harm, but please double check a post before publishing it. Certain people may find it offensive.

...What?
*takes a second to absorb that*
There wouldn't be a "bullfight" if this thread took off - we're talking about a game show, for the love of God; if the debate got heated, then we'd all look a little insane.
"American" is a perfectly fine adjective to use; I think it's pretty clear that when you say a show is American, you're not talking about the continents. And since the American and British versions are the two most prominent ones among people who frequent these boards, it's a perfectly valid question. And that's the point of the thread - the American vs. British versions of 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show. As far as nobody responding to the thread, I don't know how that happened, but I think the point of the thread is pretty clear.
Sorry to go off like that, but that whole post just didn't make sense to me.

I'm sorry RyanZ, but I do know what difference in opinion can do to a forum. If a patriotic discussion flares, there wouldn't be anyone stopping it.
Different opinions will always exist and if people are interested enough, a debate will arise and flood the thread. There is no reason whatsoever to compare two of the most prominent entertainment industries (especially if it's the United States and Great Britain) because of the effect it has on other websites and forums.
I'm just warning sandraszek of the dangers of publishing a patriotic comparison. After all, everybody thinks there country is the best in some way, that is how humans are.
As for the title, why 101 ways If there are only four questions? (That's what I don't understand about the thread, thanks)
Regards, -- Michael.

I can see where you're confused about the title - sandraszek is talking about the show 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show:
But in any case, I seriously doubt that a good ol' healthy debate would prove to be a disaster, even if sandraszek was asking about American vs. British game shows in general.

Michael Segade, you're a few months early for April Fools because your two posts in this thread are total jokes.
First of all, you violated a rule. Thanks for the dead thread revival. We always appreciate those around here (sarcasm, don't go revive another dead thread). Everything you said was completely irrelevant to the original topic so there was no reason for you to post unless you were going to answer his question. He started the thread in APRIL, it is almost November. Dead thread.
How long have you been here? Not even a whole month. I don't see what position you are in to come in here telling other users what to and what not to post on the forums. That is not your job, that's the job of the moderators. If we (as moderators and administrators) thought there was anything wrong with sandraszek's original post, we would have locked the thread back in April and explained why. At least one moderator is online multiple times a day. That would not have run under our radar.
If you have done anything on this forum other than try to gain access to the fan games and cause this trouble, you would notice the home page has everything from US Millionaire discussion, to International Millionaire discussion, to Regis & Meredith discussion, to Chris Tarrant discussion. You would most likely have also noticed we frequently talk about other country's versions of shows...almost on a weekly basis. The name of our forum isn't "United States of America's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Fans; discussion board," it's "Millionaire Fans." Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in general. Any version. Any country.
As this is in the "Other Game Shows" section, it is acceptable. sandraszek did not violate any rules and was not rude to anyone in his post. If there was going to be any "war" in this thread for the reasons you stated above, I guarantee it would have happened by now.
I can't speak for the other members, but personally, I don't buy into this political correctness garbage. It is not necessary to be 100% politically correct when talking about game shows. If we were talking about the version of Millionaire that aired in Canada, for instance, (albeit for a short two shows), we would say the Canadian version. After all, we're talking about game shows, not the world issues. Common sense, dude.
If you would like to contribute in a positive and constructive manner to our forum, you're more than welcome to and I'm sure everyone will be willing to put this behind us but you don't need to go around "policing" the boards. We are all a happy community here and issues are taken care of as they arise. We have a very competent staff.

Excuse me FinalAnswer19, it was not my intention to bump a dead thread nor tell people what to do. Therefore I am sorry for the disturbance I have caused and the offense I've hosted.
It was not my place to differ in such manner, my antagonistic behavior has gone too far.
As for the sentence You bumped a dead thread, is it considered dead if it has no replies and has been inactive for quite some time? Nobody responded to sandraszek's thread in months. I just wanted to warn the user of the dangers (I have personally witnessed) of comparing countries. I've seen various international forums and websites destroyed by patriotic trolls and posts.
As for the judgment you made, I am not here to gain access to the Fan Games section of the forum, and I'm trying to contribute in any way I can. I'll contact you through a Personal Message to straighten things out.
I'm sorry for the ruckus I have caused, I only desired to warn sandraszek of the dangers that comparison causes.
I repeat, it was not my place and it won't happen again.

First of all, why did you change your username? It always find it fishy when people replace their old account with a new one or change their usernames all of a sudden. And you said that you didn't want access to the fan games section. Your very first post was an audition for the very same section so you must have (had) at least some interest in getting the password. Take a look at this if you have questions about rules and conventions of this forum: regisfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=questionsfortheadmin&action=display&thread=85I won't comment on the country thing because I think my previous posters have said everything there is to say. And don't worry about trolls, the moderators on this forum are always watchful to nip any form of destructive behavior in the bud. I think comparisons are an important tool in discussions, as long as they are constructive and thoughtful.

I think comparisons are an important tool in discussions, as long as they are constructive and thoughtful. I did not change my username. My name is Michael Segade, I indicate that clearly in my previous audition. The company I direct and work for is titled Zodiak Corporation. I use it as an alias, but I never changed my name. Even if my account corresponds with the name Zodiak Corporation, I am still Michael Segade. I find it much more convenient to go by Michael than Zodiak. Everyone has trust issues on this forum. People find themselves saying fishy and non-trustworthy more times than barely possible. I seriously doubt the confidentiality of the forum. And the way people refer to the Top Secret Fan Games Section is slightly annoying. I am not attacking an individual or collective group, I'm just stating that people here take things too far for no reason. I do not have interest in this forum solely because of the Fan Games Section and content. It would be nice to share my creations safely there, but I'm not in a rush to do it. Anyway, what is the deal with people stealing other creator's content? (I know it's bad) but they can't do too much with it. They cannot publish or distribute because of future claims and morality rights, nor can they sell (strictly against the law). Also, if anyone wants to blast me with doubts, insults and questions, feel free to do it through a personal message. Instead of trying to be a tough guy and/or raise false awareness publicly. I would deeply appreciate that.I repeat Regisfan states in the rules: attacking a fellow member because of his mistakes is prohibited. I've already apologized for my behavior, but it looks like there's always something the members can blast in my face. I'm not a moderator, nor administrator. But I am telling you to please stop attacking me because of false leads. You're not perfect either. I think that's enough spamming of sandraszek's thread. Let's put it behind us and trash this conversation for good. But I repeat what I said before, if you have a problem with me, contact ME, not the world. Thank you for understanding. -- Michael. P.S. I must imply you to send me a message to straighten things out if you are still annoyed by something. Please stop doubting me and give the superior patronizing argument a break. Thank you.

If you'll all allow me to pipe in here for a sec... I think sandraszek's American vs British question was innocent. Saying one or the other is better is not a dog on someone else's country so intense patriotism wouldn't necessarily result from such an argument. That's really no different than saying "Which format did you like better, clock or shuffle?" I think it was supposed to be a format comparison, not a "what country's better: britain or america?"
Also, there's nothing wrong with referring to the United States as "America". It is common in speech to do this (thus as the popular song goes "I'm Proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free"). We aren't writing contracts here, this is an internet forum.
Michael Segade, with all due respect to any member of this forum, you need to stop acting out and then pretending like we are the bad people when you are reprimanded. We have given you every opportunity to participate in this forum and join our community, but you have come in here as if you are a company trying to deal with us, when let's face it, we all know you're full of it.
tl;dr: cut the crap, take the copyright line out of your signature, and learn a little respect for this community and its members. Or, leave.

It always find it fishy when people replace their old account with a new one or change their usernames all of a sudden. For the record, users can change their display name. When I first joined, my username was MarkGSKWebb, which I later shortened to GSK.

I just want to say something, hope you guys don't mind. Michael, with all due respect, here is what I have to say: The Fan Games section of this Board was not created to tease someone and allow members to say, "Haha! I got in the Fan Games section and you didn't! Haha!" It was created so members who has access to it could share their fan-made games to others with confidence, knowing that they could share their games with only members who were trusted and were selected by other members of the Boards, based on their participation, contribution to the Boards, etc. The Fan Games section was also created so members who were trusted and were selected by other members of the Boards, based on their participation, contribution to the Boards, etc., could play the games of those made by other members who has access to the Fan Games section as well. We never called the Fan Games section the "Top Secret Fan Games Section", as you had said, and we never nagged anyone, nor did we tell anyone that they had no chance whatsoever of getting in the Fan Games section. There were times when someone made 2 or 3 auditions in a row in an extremely short amount of time, and many of us were frustrated so we might've said something that may have caused someone to think that they couldn't Audition anymore, but all we meant was that the member should wait a while, contribute to the Boards more, participate more, etc. until they Auditioned again. Anyway, what is the deal with people stealing other creator's content? (I know it's bad) but they can't do too much with it. They cannot publish or distribute because of future claims and morality rights, nor can they sell (strictly against the law). True, it's illegal, however, there had been incidents in the past of people stealing and claiming other people's work as their own. Even though this is illegal, there are people out there on the Internet that may do this. Even though you may not do this, as I said before, there are other people out there that may do this, and we want to eliminate every possible way that they may do so. Just because you, as one person, claim that you won't do this, we can't change something just because of one person, you know what I mean? I seriously doubt the confidentiality of the forum. Why would you say that? What facts do you have that leads you to make this conclusion? The only areas of the Boards that are private from public members are the Fan Games and the Staff Feedback sections. As far as the Fan Games section goes, there was a time when we suspected someone of leaking something from the Fan Games section and we changed the Password. And in this past July, we changed the Fan Games section Password again, and as far as the Staff Feedback section goes, it is only visible to the Staff Members here. Therefore, I wouldn't understand why you would doubt the confidentiality of the Forum. I also agree with leimeisei. If you have any questions or if you would like to talk to me personally, please, feel free to Private Message me. Thank you for reading and have a nice day, Zachary wwtbamfan

So you all attack me with a sense of superiority for no absolute reason? What kind of "community" is this? I'll be speaking to Regisfan about recent happenings. I seriously thought people would treat others nicely after apologizing, I suppose I'm a bit old-fashioned. -- Michael.

I admired your work, leimeisei. You actually have no reason whatsoever to judge a human being in such manner.
I already apologized for a message I posted here. It wasn't a troll message, it was a mild warning I thought could come true. I deeply thought I was doing a favor and trying to avoid unhealthy patriotic debates on the boards. I suppose you can say that the war was against me. I seriously hope I don't get banned for the awkward situation I'm in, but to be honest, if I'm going to be insulted in such a manner every time I log in, I won't be coming back.
I've submitted our games in the Creativity section of the site. You are free to complain to Regisfan if you find them inappropriate too.
I really thought I deserved another chance, I did not host a crime. It's disrespectful to speak to someone you don't know like that. Please do the research on us before you blatantly claim such atrocity again.
I'm not looking for your pity with this message, I'm just sharing the way I feel on the subject.
-- Michael. (For your information, I'm not posting separately to raise my post count, please stop claiming such paranoia)
