Well, the new season of the syndicated Millionaire has begun! What are your opinions of the new season so far. I like the new intro, and the silvery logo is fantastic. The new, more powerful lights are cool, as well as the animated background of the money tree. I know these are minor changes, but I think they help the overall feel of the show.
What were your first impressions?

I hope we see some more big winners ($250,000+) this season.
I think the technical improvements are generally good…
The new intro looks nice, but I think wish it were longer like the Super Millionaire intro. I guess you can't expect too much from a half-hour program. The previous one was getting really old, so this new one is good just for that reason in my book.
The lights seem the same to me. I noticed that when a contestant loses or walks away, the blue lights coming from the back wall added last season turn red.
I like the new money tree graphics.
I had mixed feelings about last year's changes:
The set changes were good, though I would've liked if they had kept the ceiling light panels from Super Millionaire.
I don't like the updated contestant name/location box that came in last year. The old one they used in the first two seasons & Super Millionaire was better because it was more consistent with the other on-screen graphics.
I thought the lights in the third tier were too bright (especially at the $50,000 level) and should have concealed the audience completely.
The new money tree & lifeline is fun to watch, but as for me being on the show, I would've rather been on before.

Well, the current logo reminds me of the 1999-2000 logo from the ABC version.

Well, the current logo reminds me of the 1999-2000 logo from the ABC version. Sort of, but not really- I never would have thought of that if you hadn't of said it. I like the name/location tag stevensm! I think it fits better this way than it did two years ago. |

Hey everyone! First time poster, big time fan! I think Season 4 so far is the best season of Syndi yet! I agree with you guys on how everything updated looks fantastic! The silver logo is probably my favorite so far. The only thing I wish they'd do is play either the Explain the Lifelines cue or the Super Millionaire rules cue instead of the standard Explain the Rules cue. I have all the music from the show and from Super Millionaire as well. If anyone wants to hear what I mean, just send me a message. These two cues, I think, create a bigger punch than the standard Explain the Rules.
