Hey guys - I spent about three hours making a WWTBAM question template, pretty much from scratch. I wasn't a big fan of the sharpened edges that the original game had, so I took the route that a few others have taken already, rounded rectangles. A little screenshot of what I have:  Everything in this image was done in Photoshop, no Illustrator needed. I actually had a pretty good time making this - it has the money tree for the old format of the game, with the glowing bubbles, inspired by what I saw during the 10th Anniversary questions (or the clock format). I'd love to share this in the fan-game section of the forum, although I'm sure everyone would prefer Idolsfan/wwtbamfan's design to mine (which is what my minimal but sleek design was inspired by). In any event, I'm up for constructive criticism. I'd also like to take this post to thank everyone in this community for being very respectful; it's actually the reason why I'm trying to delve back into graphics/music making again, just to make more content for us Millionaire lovers to enjoy. |

Hey, thanks a lot! I really appreciate the positive response. Is there anything notable that you see wrong (aside from the money tree's font being Conduit, that was a stylistic choice.) with it?

Great job, debit13! You really did an excellent job on your graphics! I'm glad that my graphics (along with idolsfan's) partially influenced you!  (To idolsfan) Oh, by the way, I hope you don't mind me "copying" on how you put a watermark over your work as I am starting to do too, but if it does bother you, I completely understand and I will change that immediately. |

I highly doubt a watermark will be an issue, I thought about him when I did it too, but as artists, we all know that it's good to have a fail-safe to make sure that no one takes it. Thanks for the positive response, I really appreciate it! EDIT:  HUGE thanks to Mech, wwtbamfan, and GSK for hinting at what the font for the money tree was - I can't believe I never knew what it was. Also, I changed the design a little bit. Now, the money tree is beveled a bit and has a slightly lighter color than the question/answer boxes are, and also has the proper font used. In addition to that, the money tree also has a sharp, bright glow - again, all to focus a large attention on it. More little additions to detail, the font is stroked, and the progress bar is now blue instead of gold, to enhance a light drop shadow that all of the money values have. Finally, to add even more aesthetics, I added the four lifeline buttons (found at Blue Room, of course!) to the left of the money tree, for aesthetic purposes. I am REALLY happy with how this looks. I definitely plan on releasing this to the fan games area of the site (once I get there, haha). One question though: does anyone have an idea on what I can do to fill the space on the left side? |

Hi, it's pretty nice, it's simple but quite powerful. The only thing I would have done is to make rounded edges to the progress bar, to make it more coherent. The text for the question should be in the centre, like in the show... For the background, I know that there is the clock version background somewhere on the forum. Thanks for the constructive criticism! I rounded out the rectangle edges for the progress bar; that was a pretty large oversight on my part. Question text is now centered as well, and I was able to find an image of the clock background - coupled with the glowing bubbles next to the question values, it definitely enhances the experience. I reduced the size of the word Daily, in an effort to stop it from touching any of the timer's bubbles. How does this look?  |

It's pretty nice!
Have you got that millionaire logo in bigger size? If so, you could take one of its bubble, use some glow and replace the blue one, it would look more real...

It's Interstate, haha. A whole bunch of people tipped me off, and yeah, I felt pretty dumb after not noticing it.
I'm actually using these graphics to work on a Powerpoint version of the game. My initial idea was to try and make a game using Flash AS2 (can't use AS3 because the only version of Flash that emulates properly on Wine is Flash MX, derp). I've heard from a few friends that AS3 is much more practical and sensible though, so I think I might wait a bit longer. My father still has my laptop in Chicago, where I used to live before I moved out to Jersey.
But yeah, hopefully I'll have some screenshots posted of that within the next month or two - it certainly won't be as awesome as BL5965's, but I want to at least try for the experience (and to say that I did).

Crazy suggestion idea: Why don't you have the elements where we could customize the different series of Millionaire. Meaning, the different formats of Millionaire like: Clock, Shuffle, Classic, Hot Seat, etc.... For the money chart, you could use a background from Season 9/10 of US format or Classic Millionaire graphic. It would make it more interesting? That's my two cents thoughts. It would be more creative in that way but a nice way to have options. |

When you're talking about customizing the different elements, what graphics are they pertaining to (and how should I go about doing this)? I know you mention the money tree and adding the Millionaire graphic - that's totally doable and I'll look into doing it while preserving the overall appearance I made. |
