The time has finally come to reset the password to the Password-Protected Fan Games Sharing Center. This reset is being performed to ensure the long-term security of the Fan Games board and to provide an extra layer of protection for the creations that our talented members have shared with the community. Don't worry, this password reset is not in response to any particular incident or breach in security. This is something that the staff has wanted to do for a long time, as the protection of the contents in the Fan Games board is of top importance to all of us here at Millionaire Fans.
The procedure for the password reset is fairly straightforward. If you are already an existing password holder and have successfully completed the auditioning process, please familiarize yourself with the procedure outlined below.
1) Send me a PM containing only the old password to the Password-Protected Fan Games Sharing Center. By "old password," I mean the password that is in effect on the date of this post.
2) The staff will review your credentials and make sure that you have obtained the password legitimately.
3) Once your credentials have been verified, I will send you a PM containing the new password to the Password-Protected Fan Games Sharing Center.
As I said before, this procedure is rather simple for any password holder to follow. It's not quite as painless for the staff, however, so please be patient with us after you've sent me your PM. Due to the heavy volume of password requests that we will be receiving, please give us up to a few days to get back to you with the new password. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we go through this lengthy verification process. It's a security measure that is time-consuming, but I'm sure the resident fan game creators appreciate the extra level of security. Please wait at least a week before contacting me regarding your password request. I promise we will be doing our best to get back to you in a timely manner. Also, due to the inundation of private messages I'm about to receive, I'd like to ask you not to respond to me after I've sent you the new password. I know you're all very polite and want to say "thank you," but I will be flooded with private messages and don't want anyone's PM to get lost in a sea of "thank you" notes.
I am aware that there are a handful of you who received the password directly from me before the current auditioning system was in place. I know who you are, and there aren't many of you. Just follow the procedure above and you will receive the new password.
If you have not yet auditioned for the password to the Fan Games board as of the date of this post, you do not have to participate in this procedure. You will receive the updated password when you complete your audition. For instructions on how to audition for the password to the Fan Games board, please click here.
Now for a word of caution. As before, the password to the Fan Games board is for your eyes only. Do not share the password with anyone, either on the boards or through the private messaging system. The staff is conducting a very controlled release of the new password, and if there is a security leak, we will know about it. There will be very little mercy shown to anyone caught sharing the password with any other member of the site. Anyone who is caught trying to subvert this password reset or interfere with the distribution of the new password in any way will be banned. Consider this your only warning. I will be the only person who will be asking for any information from you, and I will also be the only person sharing the new password with you. If you are contacted by anyone else during this password reset regarding the new password, please do not respond to that individual and contact me immediately.
Because you might have to wait a few days to hear back from me with the new password, the password to the Password-Protected Fan Games Sharing Center will not be changing immediately. I don't want to instantly cut everyone off from the Fan Games board when some members may have to wait several days before receiving the new password. Therefore, the date that the password for the Password-Protected Fan Games Sharing Center will officially change is July 1, 2012. You can begin this procedure at any time, but the new password will not take effect until July 1. Obviously, July 1 also marks the day that the previous password will no longer work. If you are away from the site, do not worry. As long as you are a legitimate password holder, the procedure outlined above will always be available to you. You can send me your PM containing the old password at any time.
If you have any questions about the procedure, please ask them in this thread. However, please refrain from all discussion regarding the password itself. I'm confident that this password reset will go smoothly, and I'd like to thank all of you ahead of time for your patience and cooperation.

EDIT: As of 2/1/13, Millionaire Fans no longer uses the password system. Access to the Fan Games Sharing Center is controlled through membership in the "Fan Games Board All-Access Pass" member group. If you are a long-time member of the site who never obtained the new password, simply PM me the old Fan Games password (as outlined in the procedure above), and I will add you to the member group instead of sending you a new password.
