The Ask the Audience malfunction was hilarious! That's definitely one of UK Millionaire's more memorable moments from recent years. Actually, I'm surprised that doesn't happen more often!
These civilian episodes prove what we've known all along: watching ordinary people play for the million is a heck of a lot more entertaining than watching celebrities. I'm hoping we get to see lots more "The People Play" episodes in the future.

I agree with Regisfan. All 3 episodes were fantastic, contestants were fantastic, there were a lot of emotional moments and also very funny moments for example ask the audience in episode 2, and of course last contestant - Monika who was very funny in my opinion. I'm hoping we get to see lots more "The People Play" episodes in the future. Episode 3 |

At 21 minutes, when the contestant's presentation is finished, there have been a problem with the steadicam as there have been a tilt during the traveling shot. These 3 episodes were brilliant and it shows how the format is strong when people play to win money, I wished we had that in France too as now we only have Celebrity specials  But I am not a fan at all of the revamped set, the graphics and the musics, they should have used the US clock format for the graphics and musics and keep the main aspects of the original set... For the new cues, they have used the Explain The Lifelines cue from Super Millionaire and the Celebrity Walk-on cue from the US 10th anniversary celebration Idolsfan |

As much as I like the new set, I think that the colour schemes they use are quite pale and boring, and don't add much to the dramatic effect. Definitely the best scheme is for the 3rd tier questions. As for the other schemes, they're really bad! The red-to-orange-to-white transition looks terrible, and for the first 7 questions the lights should be brighter and more visible - your average viewer can't quite tell if the colours even change!
As for the music... well, the rave soundtrack isn't too bad. The bad part is the fact that they cut off the first 3 seconds of the tension music. The music itself is really quiet and can be barely heard. Also, recently they're missing some cues; Q1-2 bed, ATA bed and the best piece in the rave soundtrack - the Walk Down music, which was replaced by, of all sounds, the *old* Walk Down bed. That HAS to be fixed ASAP.
Overall, I really enjoyed the episodes as well as some bloopers. Hopefully we will see more *civilian* episodes soon. Hopefully they won't all be live.
