It seems like that now i'm following in the footsteps of what Divvy went through this past December/January. As everyone here knows, my Grandmother passed away last week, but now it feels like double whammy. Earlier today, my Grandfather sadly passed away at the age of 89. I don't know if anyone else knows what it's like to lose 2 grandparents in just 7 days, unfortunately that's what makes my recovery from my grandmothers death, much more difficult. At least he is now at peace and has reunited with my grandmother (not the one that passed away last week but the one that passed away 10 years ago) up in heaven. I will miss him.  |

I know that it can be hard to lose one person you love, so losing two people you love must be very difficult. But don't worry, because both of your grandmothers and your grandfather will look down upon you and will guide you along every step of the way throughout your lifetime. Let me tell you a very moving and inspirational story that I once heard in the school assembly.
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from anguish,
sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints,
so I said to the Lord,
“"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”"
The Lord replied,
"My child, I love you so much I'd never be able to leave you.
“The years when you have seen only one set of footprints
is when I carried you.”"
I pray that God carries you through that difficult time and I'm sure that your grandparents will help Him carry you.

I am very sorry. I myself have dealt with a death of a Great-Grandparent and a Great-Aunt in the last year, so I feel you! I also want to say that they will be with you even when you think they aren't. I wish you a great next few weeks.
Also, Adasiekkk, that poem is called "Footprints in the Sand". My grandmother has a copy of that poem on canvas on the wall of her house and it is quite inspiring! I'm glad there are more people that know about it than I do.
