Hello everyone! I have recently watched one of Mech's videos of Millionaire on YouTube and I heard some strange Music Cues on one of its episodes. It sounded as if the cues were lowered in pitch. Here is the video: The sounds that I have heard that sounded lower-pitched were: -The introduction of the contestant (0:00-0:10) -Ask The Expert Skype Introduction (1:15) -$25,000 Final Answer Cue (1:48) -$25,000 Win Cue (1:54) -"45 Seconds On The Clock"/Clock Reveal (3:12) -$50,000 Final Answer Cue (3:25) -$50,000 Win Cue (3:30) -Resume The Clock Cue (5:15) -$100,000 Final Answer Cue (5:16) -$100,000 Lose Cue (5:20) I also noticed that in the two videos of MILIONERstudio's videos shown below, the 75,000 zł Final Answer Cue and the 75 000 zł Win Cue sounds like the same 2 lower-pitched cues heard in Mech's video: -75 000 zł Final Answer Cue (14:31) [FIRST MILIONERstudio VIDEO] -75 000 zł Win Cue (0:18) [SECOND MILIONERstudio VIDEO] Was Mech's video of that specific episode the first time that those lower-pitched cues were played, or did they exist before that episode? Why were these lower-pitched cues used instead of the original ones? Does anyone know where I can get these lower-pitched cues? Thanks in advance, Zachary wwtbamfan

I think that was the only time we ever heard cues lower pitch than normal. I first noticed it when that episode aired in September 2009. I personally don't think their's lower pitch cues. I immediately once I heard them, i'm like "something here is not right." So, i think those lower pitch cues was just a glitch or something like that.

Interesting. However, if those cues were just a glitch, how did MILIONERstudio acquire those cues? The $50,000 Final Answer Cue and 75 000 zł Final Answer Cue, along with the $50,000 Win Cue and the 75 000 zł Win Cue, sound identical! This is very interesting. I actually remember discussing the music cues from this episode on Millionaire Fans when the episode aired a few years ago. I think at the time we all agreed that they were just having trouble with the audio in the studio that day, because the cues they played over the speakers were affected but the ones dubbed in in post-production (like the theme song) were not. I cannot explain why the MILIONERstudio video uses those cues, though.

However, the drumbeats from the background cues of the ticking of the clocks doesn't seem to be lowered in pitch, and aren't they played in the studio as well? Thanks for sharing what you know, Regisfan. Zachary wwtbamfan

Right, as one of the producers of MILIONERstudio, let me try to clarify some things for you As for the Alan Carver episode, there was a mixing board glitch that caused the studio music to be down-pitched. Now, when making season 2 of MILIONERstudio, I decided that I liked the way these sounded so for 3rd tier I down-pitched the final answer and win cues. That's the whole story behind it ^.^

I used Audacity and I had to pitch down each cue by 1 half-tone (which is about 5.95%).
