Hey guys! I have a quick question. I have CamStudio, so what framerates do you recommend for recording PowerPoint 2007 presentations with a lot of animations? Is there another free screen recorder that you would recommend for recording PowerPoint 2007 presentations with a lot of animations? Thanks, Zachary wwtbamfan

If you have Office 2010, it's possible to export your presentation in a video file.

Thanks for the replies, guys! I have PowerPoint 2007, so it's not equipped with the "video file" option. Sorry for not specifying. I've updated the original post as well.

With Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 you may render a WMV video file with exemplary quality, although, if it stumps across a trigger, it will finalize the render and save the file.
My recommendation is to set Camtasia Studio 8 to its default settings on Windows 7. More details are needed though, I cannot say what is best for a quality video if you do not specify your computer's capabilities.
Check out the RAM and CPU specifications and deliver the information. The default settings in Camtasia Studio 8 are pretty accurate if there aren't many animations playing at the same time.
I hope it works perfectly. Please give us feedback on the end result! -- Michael.

Hi Zodiak Corporation, As explained above, I have PowerPoint 2007, so, unfortunately, I cannot save the PowerPoint Presentation as a Video. I asked above if someone could recommend a free screen recorder to me, and it seems like Camtasia Studio 8 is not free. I'm not sure how to find out the specifics of my computer's information, but I can tell you that I have Windows XP. Is RAM calculated by Memory space? I can give you that information, but I'm not sure if that's the right one. Anyway, thanks for your help! Zachary wwtbamfan

aTube Catcher and CamStudio are free and they are equipped with a Full HD screen recorder. Unfortunately, I have no experience on how to use these programs, if you fiddle around, you might as well find a perfect setting.
There are certain programs that offer free online servers to record on your computer like Screencast-O-Matic and eLecta Live, although I doubt the graphics they present.
I hope it works! Please share the clip when it's finished! -- Michael.
