Hey Regisfan and other Administrators.
Since RPG 7 is coming to a close I thought I'd share my ideas for the next RPG, which is RPG #8. So, here is what I was thinking.
1. I feel like as the last RPG was the first video RPG, I found the video RPG style to be very successful. I just find it a lot easier than the older RPG's where you have to put in a lot of text in a post and upload lots of images to photobucket. You can actually see the game played like on the real show and you can hear what the host is saying. I didn't participate in any RPG's before the video one however I did see how gameplay went, of course I was only on the boards for two months when the video RPG started. I saw that contestants were already picked before the start of the older RPG's where in the last video one anyone could sign up as soon as the Fastest Finer First came up. So I feel like, just like the last RPG, anyone can join the next one as well.
2. Because the last RPG took almost a year and eight months to end (which meant no Game 6) unfortunately I think we should reduce the amount of Games from six to four. April this year is when Game 4 ended in the last RPG which right now was four months ago. A year and four months though is still a long time for an RPG to complete. We would have to make sure that there are not any long delays like the seven week delay we experienced from Headshotmagnet. So I've come up with a solution, check out #3 bellow.
3. Substitute hosts. It happened just the last game of the last RPG that Headshotmagnet wasn't able to continue hosting. So I was thinking that we should have some members volunteer as a substitute host so when a regular host isn't able to continue hosting a game they are assigned, the substitute host can take over until the regular host of that game gets back.
4. Money Tree. We used the Classic Millionaire money tree style for the last Video RPG. For this one however I would like to have a different money tree for this one. I would even like to see the second milestone higher than $32,000. So what do we use a custom money tree or similar to one used on the show around the world? What do we decide?
Oh this money tree I made up, where going to use this money tree:
15 $1,000,000
14 $750,000
13 $500,000
12 $250,000
11 $175,000
10 $100,000
09 $75,000
08 $50,000
07 $25,000
06 $12,500
05 $10,000
04 $7,500
03 $5,000
02 $2,500
01 $1,250
NO NO NO. Who would want a money tree like this? Most of the question you would risk more than what you would gain, YUCK!!! No one wants lose more than what they would gain, so lets not do it that way.
The money tree I want to use for this RPG is simular to the current one used in the UK with some differences, in fact I have to two money tree money tree suggestions.
15 $1,000,000 15 $1,000,000
14 $500,000 14 $500,000
13 $250,000 13 $250,000
12 $150,000 12 $150,000
11 $75,000 11 $75,000
10 $50,000 10 $50,000
09 $25,000 09 $25,000
08 $15,000 or 08 $10,000
07 $10,000 07 $5,000
06 $7,500 06 $2,500
05 $5,000 05 $1,000
04 $3,000 04 $500
03 $2,000 03 $300
02 $1,000 02 $200
01 $500 01 $100
So the right one is very simular to the one used in the UK only $2,500 instead of $2,000, $25,000 instead of $20,000 and it's in a 15 question format. On the one of the left, the dollar (or pound, euro, wherever country you're in) on the first eight question are higher including the first milestone being $5,000 instead of $1,000. Both have $50,000 as the second milestone, which I think is perfect.
5. Finally contestants have gotten the double dip once they reached the second milestone but I think in this game three wise men should be a lifeline a contestant would earn as well.
Those are my suggestions, let me know what you guys think about this. Feedback is appreciated. Thank you.
