So there has been a lot of discussion regarding RPG 8 on the boards over the last few days. The key thing to remember is that none of those discussions were actually sanctioned by the staff, which means that they were unofficial. No one has been selected to host the next RPG yet, and anyone claiming to do so simply decided that on his own.
All RPG sign-ups are designed in such a way that everyone has an equal chance to get the role he/she desires. There are no pre-selected hosts or rules.
I have been flooded with PMs over the last few weeks with people asking questions about the next RPG. And when I say flooded, I'm not kidding. I am taking everyone's feedback into account and designing a new system for RPG 8 that I think should appeal to everyone. I will post all of my ideas very soon, hopefully sometime this weekend. I will also post the exact time that RPG sign-ups will begin. If you want a particular role in an upcoming game, I suggest you pay attention to any timelines that I will be posting in the near future.
In the meantime, please don't flood the boards with threads about your individual ideas for the RPG. It just got way out of control way too quickly. I promise that everyone will be (mostly) happy once I've had a chance to organize my thoughts and share them with you. Be patient.
