I liked the Million Dollar Tournament during the Clock format. I only saw the final question which won Sam Murray $1 Million. The format is great, but I have a format that can be used if there will be another tournament. The game will be played in 3 rounds.
Round 1: Ten contestants compete in a Fastest Finger question. The winner will answer a question with a random difficulty between questions 6-10. The contestant can only use one lifeline. A wrong answer eliminates the person from the game. A right answer takes them to the next round. First 5 players to answer their respective questions correctly will play round 2 while the other players are eliminated.
Round 2: The rules are simply the same as round 1, but only 3 players will move on to the final round.
Round 3: The rules will be like the Classic Tournament of Ten. Starting with the lowest-scoring contestant, the players will be asked one final question with no lifelines. They can still walk with the money they earned. Right answers will overthrow the Tournament Leader. The last player to answer the question will win $1 Million.

It sounds like a very good idea but I think that giving them a random question is kind of unfair. Maybe seeing how fast they can get through the second tier is a better way of deciding.

Sorry. The questions get harder as they move on to the next round.

Maybe have the first round be how fast the contestants get through tier 1, and round 2 do the same with tier 2?
