I suspect the reason these logos were standardized was because of merchandising. It's much easier to release the same products across various countries if the artwork only needs minimal adjustments.

Since the Netherlands was the first to have their own version of Millionaire, the restrictions and rules of the logo that we have now were probably not in place yet. Now that they are, all international versions have logos that look alike, which is the way it's supposed to be.

EDIT: To prevent double-posting, I'll say it on this post.

Australia kinda bent the rules with their golden coin logo. After the 11-question format was replaced with the 15-question format, they still kept the logo until 2002/2003.

While managing to keep the look of the classic logo, South Africa has decided to alter this device to incorporate the logo of the channel this show was aired on - M-Net.

However, they felt that this modification was not enough, so they chose to change the fonts as well. (I am almost positive that the text reading "ILLIONAIRE" is not Copperplate or a variant of it.)

There still exists another more traditional looking logo for South Africa's show, but I can't seem to find it anywhere else but here:
