Hai everyone! With the board being made up of people with a love of Game Shows and people from different countries, I was wondering: What do they think is the best game show? (Apart from Millionaire  ) So what I want you to do is just pop down your three favorite game shows ever are.
But here is the deal: You have to pick 3 prior to Millionaire (1998) and 3 after Millionaire (1999 and beyond)
Only one format (You cant pick a show and its revival. Eg Press Your Luck and Whammy!)
Here are my three to start you off

1. The Krypton Factor (My all time favorite)
Post Millionaire

Assuming this thread isn't dead (and I don't think it is, just a couple weeks old), I'll attempt to list my three--it's tough, because my tastes change sometimes, but generally speaking, these are my favorites.
Assuming "pre-Millionaire" means going by the show's premiere date and not by whether it's still on the air...

Hmm... This one will be pretty hard for me. I've seen so many great game shows that it's hard to choose. Pre-Millionaire: 3. 21. Yes, I actually liked the format. The fact that it was never fair, whether it was the US version or any of the Polish versions, doesn't matter to me that much when it comes to liking a format. 2. Family Feud. Especially the really bad jokes of the Polish host, Karol Strasburger. Classic Sunday afternoon. 1. Fifteen to One. One of the best game show formats there is, without all the silly bits. Post-Millionaire: Well, I can't choose a Top 3 and then not mention some others, so here goes my Top 6: 6. Deal or no Deal/Miljoenenjacht. Simple but efficient, although I enjoy the Dutch version more than the US one 5. Weakest Link UK. Anne(-droid) Robinson. Say no more. 4. Cash Battle. Nobody here will have ever heard of it, but trust me, it was good. Very good. Have a look at the English promo for this format. I'd love to see it in the USA or UK, with exact music and graphics. Amazing. 3. 1 vs 100 - US Season 1, but also German Season 2 (so the US format). 2. The Million Pound Drop. My gosh, is it amazing. Absolutely outstanding. Best format of 2010. Only to be beaten by... 1. The Chase UK. Lieber Gott! Prima! J'aime ca! Buenos Aires! |

Strangely enough, I have heard of Cash Battle and I think that in NZ we had a series or two! It was weird to say the least but very enjoyable.

For me it's:
Pre-Millionaire:
3 - Questions pour un champion (Going for Gold): because all the things (in the French version) are cult: the host, the opening music. And it's one of the most simple quiz show in the world.
2 - Le Juste Prix 90s version (The Price Is Right): there is a kind of magic in this game with big prizes, in the machinery of the games
1 - and, my favorite game is definitely Fort Boyard (+ or - The Crystal Maze - same creator): it's the ultimate adventure show, it's cult, it's mysterious, all that I love!
Post-Millionaire:
3 - Koh Lanta (Survivor): whereas there is a reality show tendency, I like this game for the landscape, the musics, the production
2 - The Chase (no French version, what a shame!): simply but very original
1 - The Million Pound Drop (not the French Version called "Money Drop", it sucks): one of the most original and greatest game of the last years. It's the first time I see contestants having all the money they can win at the beginning of the game and losing it during the game. The English live version is the best one, the best set, the best music, the best host of all versions in the world.

However, it was nowhere near as good as the original. No offence, but your music was rubbish (haha!). www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKNwXFEBIvIAlso, giving the teams $1k and having only 4 questions meant that the show was rushed and couldn't get its climax. |

No offense? None taken! I was only 7 when it aired and I had better things to do, like watching UK Gladiators and playing Halo 2.
