Posted earlier this week on millionairetv.com, the show will once again tour the country looking for our next million dollar winner! Season 5 audience tickets become available next month, while NYC auditions begin on June 5! Which brings me to this, what changes, if any, should be made for Season 5 or is there anything you'd like to see added?

Yay, the show still goes on!
Changes, eh? I always enjoy a new introduction every season, but everthing else is pretty good as it is. The lights have been looking great this season (although I always say the more the merrier) and the new graphics look good, so I have no complaints.
I can't wait.

For season 5, I would like to see more enthusiasm from the audience (sometimes for like the first level of questions the audience seems dull...that's just me). This is probably a long shot but maybe bringing back the Fastest Finger (I really miss that especially when it was on with Regis)?!?!? I mean do you guys think that would eat into the start of the show if they were to do it? More unique camera shots would be nice but other than that Season 5 should be AWESOME!!!

Personally, I don't much care for the fastest finger. When contestants come to the studio, they know they will get into the hot seat that day, or the next day. With fastest finger, there's a good chance you won't get in.
I also like your point about cutting into show time. Between fastest finger, Meredith yakking it up, and commericals, we'd only have about 10-15 minutes of actual game play!

Hmm, is the MillionaireIM thing still going to be active in the new season?

No it is not. When Millionaire rights were sold, AOL dropped out as a sponsor. Just the studio audience poll will count.

Like I thought. When I tried the MillionaireIM, all I got was "This service is unavailable at the moment. Please try again later."

Yeah, I can't believe they dropped it. Not that it was too helpful to the contestants, but it was still fun to get involved.

I know what you mean RF. Contestants will also lose that sense of confidentiality because the AOL audience can't hear what the contestant says while the audience does.

HERE WE GO!!! Millionaire Season 5 kicked off today with literally no changes! I'm glad they followed the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" We're in for a great season!

Darn, I was hoping for a new intro. Oh well, it's a good start to a new season. Here's to a wonderful season 5!
Also, did anyone notice that they moved the "closed-captioning sponsored by" segment to the third commercial break instead of the fourth, and that they added more commercials for the last break? I wonder the extra commercials are indicative of anything.... it's not exactly a pattern us Millionaire fans aret fond of, if the end of Primetime Millionaire is an example as to what this means.

I saw that too Regisfan. I wonder why the "closed captioning" plug comes so early? It made much more sense where it was.

Yeah. Millionaire just must need more advertising support, so it was moved forward to accomodate for the added commercials. Curious.
